What's the consensus on this record? Picked it up at a used record store yesterday. Never listened to King Crimson before, but thought I'd try it. Played it last night and I really liked some parts of it.
It's considered one of their best if not the best

This and Red are GOAT albums. The Talking Drum+Larks' Tongues In Aspic Pt.2 is my favorite part of any album, ever.
GOAT album anon.

It's their best album, imo. That Easy Money bassline is GOAT.
Legit what I consider the best album ever
sorry if that sounds like hyperbole

Worst tracks are right in the middle, and they're not even bad.
Best tracks are the title tracks and talking drum.

I'm actually with this guy. Fracture is amazing.
But Larks Tongues is still among my favorite KC albums.

Has some great material, but like all of King Crimson, it sounds better on the live albums. Check out USA for a taste of that (the original CD release if possible, not the shitty 40th anniversary re-release that fucks up the sound horribly).

>LTiA pt.1 from 3:00 onwards
How does it stay so great for so long
>The Talking Drum
The single most patrician song there is.
