Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
Vs
Soundtracks For The Blind
Lift Your Skinny Fists
LYSF but both are 10/10
Soundtracks, but really now what's the comparison? They're pretty different from each other.
SFTB

LYSF, although Soundtracks isn't in any way worse I just prefer GY!BE for some reason
STFB because it's not boring crescendocore

first wave > second wave
Soundtracks by default
LYSF, but Soundtracks is great.

Just because it goes from soft to loud doesn't make it somehow worse you pleb (although preferring STFB is p reasonable)

When your mom lets me in her bed
They're really not comparable. One's a post-rock album, and the other is an album with post-rock elements.
Both are among my all time favorites. Soundtracks more variance of emotional depth and catharsis and LYSF for more organic contingency in composition. If I had to choose between the two, it's gotta be Soundtracks. Both are 10/10 though.
SFTB it just has so much more to offer and is just so damn ambitious.
LYSF is great but it just uses up so much of its time on setting things up; all that time the album's not very engaging.
Alternative poll; LYSF versus this beast.

Seriously, listen to World Police and Friendly Fire(Static) on the album. You can't say that the build up doesn't pay off
>>61798571
My all time favorite album. I've never heard anything before with such cutthroat ambition. LYSF is good but it doesn't stand a chance.

Every song on SAD sounds better than the studio version
I still like STFB better because of the drone and spacey stuff
both beat LYSF by quite a bit for me

>Just because it goes from soft to loud doesn't make it somehow worse you pleb
I would say you could criticizes something as "crescendocore" since this is so over done in 3rd wave post-rock.
3rd wave post-rock is literally one of the worse genres out there, it has more cliches than radio pop.
All that being said, LYSF is not an example of this

I prefer the studio versions to SAD, but I still believe that SAD's version of the Sound is far superior.

Is Blood Promise the most successful rework of any song ever?

Both shit.
