What music do depressed dickgirls listen to?
Yeah. They always end up having destructive manic episodes. The last depressed bipolar girl ended up throwing a milkshake on my best friend, got all over him and my car upholstery, started screaming and crying, and jumped out of the car and said she was going to walk home (roughly 10 miles). Then sent me about 15 texts about how she was going to kill me and then herself. Whenever I'd see her she'd tell me/show me how many times she cut her cottage cheese thighs and get so excited about it. She'd be like, "I cut myself at least twice as much as the other girls I know. It's not a competition...but I'm definitely winning." Lost contact with her then saw her again and she told me she had spent the past three months in in-patient psychiatric care.
Anyway, to be relevant to the thread, she listened exclusively to Twenty One Pilots, Taylor Swift, and Crystal Castles.
>tfw depressed, possible bipolar
>tfw ugly af man
I got meds so it should get better, but I often wonder how I would be treated if I was exactly the same person but a qt girl instead.
probably a lot better
my brother is bipolar, i honestly hope you blow your brains out right now. being bipolar isnt "interesting" you tumblr fucktard. its not quirky. its shit.
>Lana Del Rey obvs, it's literally music made for depressed girls/gay guys
I'm a man and I listen to LDR because I want to have an abusive relationship with her and because it makes me feel like becoming a cocaine dealer in Miami. I don't really get the depressed vibe.
Elliot Smith, Jeff Buckley and James Blake are the obvious choices here.
Cat Power pre 2004
My Bloody Valentine
A Sunny Day in Glasgow
I listen to Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Have A Nice Life, Tim Hecker, Giles Corey, The Angelic Process, Grouper, The Goslings, Caethua, and Wiicca when I'm sad
Who gives a shit about any of this, it's just as obnoxious telling people what they should be outraged and offended by. people gonna fetishize anything out there, if you don't like it just don't associate with those people
>no Liz Phair
Step up ur sadgirl game.
As an aside, I gave this album to a girl I was seeing and she later told me she had a breakdown to it.
The higher rates for women don't count the fact much fewer men seek help for mental illness in general and are a lot more likely to successfully kill themselves with or without treatment.
yeah that's why i said men are more likely to successfully commit suicide. formal diagnosis for mental illnesses is a huge mess anyway so it's difficult to discern actual rates of a given disorder within/between demographics. for instance women are much more likely to receive a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. does that mean women actually experience higher rates of bpd or does it mean mental health professionals tend to be gender biased when diagnosing patients (or maybe that the classifications themselves imply a gender bias)?
Both of the girls I've dated have had pretty serious depression issues
>Marina and the Diamonds
>Earth, Wind, and Fire
So I guess it depends
