Never seen it before but damn for some reason I really wish he was still with us when looking at this pic.
this is pretty good btw
qt/10 would kiss
it's a reference to the backside of the lodger album sleeve
Bowie seemed to be the kind of person who liked hanging out with "genuine" people, while Iggy is really intelligent, well spoken and grateful to Bowie for taking him in and saving his career
Daily reminder that this man is superior to Bowie in every possible way
Opposites attract I guess. Plus they did a lot of the same drugs at the time so that's always a good way to strike up a friendship.
He probably straight up saved his life actually. Iggy's drug problems were so bad in the 70's he decided to check himself into a mental asylum. Bowie was the only one to visit him more then once, and he talked him into moving to Berlin with him to try and sober up.
Why would you crop based Fripp out of this picture
pic related must be rare bowie because it certainly ain't well done Bowie
They should just do it like they did I'm Not There and get a bunch of people to play him from different points in his career. The format makes even more sense for an artist like Bowie.
Sorry for minor derail but does anyone have other photos of Bowie (or other artists) in domestic settings? I get my kicks out of domestic pics, like seeing Bowie holding a kettle is so cool.
you might enjoy this if you haven't seen it
I'm obsessed with Bowie's profile, I mean, look at this
With INTERPOL and David Byrne
forgot pic related, there ya go
Bowie and Molko again, this time when they performed 20th Century Boy together
he was such a fan, makes me feel less guilty for enjoying Placebo
I'm gonna go sleep guys, please keep up with the good work
Post 'em if you got 'em
And I've got 'em
I have a bunch from his site, I will generally avoid posting them but I love a couple enough.
On autocaptcha mode, this may be a bit
Might be going on for a while we've got 55 queued and that's just what I clicked on before I hit ready
David Bowie turned marketing into the essence of his art. All great phenomena of popular music, from Elvis Presley to the Beatles, had been, first and foremost, marketing phenomena (just like Coca Cola and Barbie before them)
(Sorry, popped off for a game, rest incoming, only 62 left)
Not the rarest, but here's a semi-rare poster for the Man Who Fell to Earth
I will never forget this one good lord
I don't know if we're going to 404 or hit image limit first, LET'S FIND OUT
He was such a beautiful man, good lord. I'll live up to that one day.
One of my favorites. I really loved his looks in the Diamond Dogs days, almost as much as the Thin White Duke.
Friendly reminder that he would probably have been the best Joker of all time. Probably.
Twenty-two to go. I think we'll hit image limit before then. I dearly hope not.
I think this is image limit, hold on
Congratulations, you've now seen the worst picture of David Bowie
They're my guilty pleasure
although the only reason they exist is because Bowie heard some of their demos on the 90's and thought they were worth something, so he called them to tour, so, maybe they ARE worth something
