Bands that never recovered after THAT album, be it good or bad.

Aureate Gloom is pretty much just as good as Hissing Fauna
I really disliked Lousy though.

Aureate Gloom is incredibly underrated but saying it's as good as HF is ridiculous. Paralytic Stalks, however, is the best album Of Montreal ever released

my personal favorite is Skeletal Lamping but I can see your point.
I liked sex-crazed Kevin (Georgie) the best.
The band themselves admitted they had to start from scratch after Daydream Nation

In my opinion this was their only good album.
nothing oM ever made is close to this

If The Unnatural World would've been completely different this wouldn't be here. But yeah, it's like he tryna create his next Deathcon and ain't too good at it.

>implying Mob Rules wasn't a good album
>>61793883
Ok but let's admit it
Satanic panic in the Attic was by far their best followed by cherry peel and the. Lousy
It's all downhill from here.

here is the reply you wanted
Terence Trent D'Arby never really came back from the backlash to his second album "Neither Fish nor Flesh." It did poorly when it came out in 1989, but with time, it's more and more appreciated as an interesting piece of work for a mainstream pop musician like he was back then.
And it was kind of big in Japan...

Not that they became bad, but they set the bar pretty high

False Priest is 50% amazing and 50% forgettable mediocrity
>>61795392
I disagree. Nearly every track is great.
>>61793883
This guy gets it.
>>61795183
