Where the fuck is it, /mu/?
I don't know but are you ready for Josh "King of Kickstarter" Dibb's album? Because Filthy Deakings' album is imminent.
daily reminder that Deak's solo album will BTFO painting with
I fucking need this shit and I really can't deal with another person pretending they have it, and then saying
>hurr durr 29% guise
no, not again, my heart won't be ripped from my chest and beaten again
Now seriously, Deak's album is going to blow Painting With so far away it's not even funny. The rest of AnCo will probably delay Painting WIth so people don't compare them and find out Deakin is the only animal collection with talent.
it's supposed to be a rapid succession of pop songs, anon, there's a reason they're all short
that being said I'd kill to get a long version of The Burglars that draws out the opening vocal harmonies desu
That's actually a pretty good ranking. You're totally wrong about ODDSAC though.
Listen to Screens, Tantrum Barb, Mr. Fingers, and Kindle Song. They all sound like fairly normal AnCo tracks.
I have to admit something...I had no idea this album had vocals lmao
I heard some sample and thought it was some generic ambient soundtrack score
But just put on Tantrum Barb and wtf it's like an actual song
Thanks brah, gonna actually listening to, ignore my ignorant ranking
Yeah this is sometimes done for albums where some people get it before release. Each person's copy is slightly different, and the label keeps track of what copy went to which person so if it gets leaked they can trace it. Like a sound effect might be added in different places or something and it will sound like part of the song.
that is too many levels of shitposting for me to keep track of
Water Curses (song)
Painting With (Predicted)
Fall Be Kind
>Forgettable but not bad
Water Curses (the ep other than the title track)
(most of) Danse Manatee
Here's the objectively correct ranking you fucking retards.
Painting With (prediction) > Centipede Hz > MPP > SJ > Sung Tongs > Feels > Spirit > Campfire Songs > HCTI > Danse
I seriously don't get how anyone could truthfuly think Chz is their best album.
It's not bad at all but it's so fucking tiresome to listen because of all the unnecesary effects.
It could be great if they'd chose a better aound aesthetic to accompain it.
The song writing is actually really good, it reminds me a bit to STGSTV AnCo.
Oh, and HCTI is fucking GOAT. It's got this weird frantic energy and it combines pop and experimental perfectly.
has anybody else been turned onto some god-tier music just by listening to Animal Collective's influences? the booklet in Person Pitch convinced me to get more familiar with The Zombies, Aphex Twin, the Orb, Syd Barrett--all artists I already liked, but subsequently dug deeper into. the band's interviews also convinced me to listen to Thinking Fellers and Black Dice, Sun Ra (love his sound already), and Can. I also found myself able to get into the Beach Boys through Animal Collective's sound. we really are blessed to have a band with such eclectic influences that give us great music and rec stuff that's just as good.
>"it's so fucking tiresome to listen because of all the unnecessary effects."
>doesn't have listening endurance
>doesn't understand the importance of each little sound and nuance
Don't try that shit on me. I've listened to way longer albums and didn't feel a tenth as annoyed. Plus all the sounds on chz don't add to the listening expierience. All of AnCo records have this ambiental sound to them, the thing is that chz sounds are not adding up to the songs, they're just basically "radio interference" its a nice idea, and im glad AnCo go on experimenting, but I don't think it adds up to the song writing in any good way.
I'm just getting into him myself, but his cosmic jazz phase is what's hooked me. I recommend Interstellar Low Ways, then the Nubians of Plutonia if you're feeling it. both are slightly over half an hour so they're good entry points
What the fuck is wrong with you people. HCTI is God-Tier as fuck. The only reason anybody doesn't like it is because you haven't listened to it enough times to really get it. Or maybe you're not into droney and noisy pure psychedelic music. Whatever the reason, you're both horribly wrong
it's alright but not top tier, need to give it more listens tho
overrated as fuck, it just replaced a bunch of their creative instrumentality with generic (though well-executed) indie rock. the non-rock songs are among their best though
>reading retards argue about opinions
