What does /mu/ think of The Flaming Lips? I've been getting into them pretty recently and I can appreciate most of their stuff.

I don't really like this album though. I know it gets a lot of cred, but something about the style of it throws me off.

They're okay I suppose but Wayne Coyne's retarded voice gets annoying really quickly. I can't listen to more than one song in a row.

If you want baroque pop with retarded vocalists you should listen to Mercury Rev. They're much better.

I fucking hate the Flaming lips. But this album I'd pretty decent and I like Yoshimi pretty well too. I think I just hate Wayne and his voice and his shitty too deep for me lyrics.
