might be overrating untrue a bit
haven't listened to it in forever but i used to love it
Don't have photoshop
ITAOTS: Masta Peace
Spirit They've Come: shit
Kid A: Gold
Spiderland: badly produced shit
Burial: Completely uninteresting
Remain In Light: Masta Peace
In The Court Of The Crimson King: Stellar
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven: Fantastic
MBDTF: inconsistant, stellar instrumentals, dogshit lyrics
American Football: mediocre
"n" mean "AHAH i'm not going to listen to this"
Yeah I still enjoy it, it's just hailed as being the most innovative and original album of the century by people who haven't listened to very much music, when in fact it's incredibly derivative and nowhere near being on par with it's influences. I think In Rainbows and Ok Computer are much better albums than Kid A anyway.
In fact, i relistened OK computer before Kid A and i think that is sligtly better, nothing stellar, but good, maybe I sould listen to the other albums as well, Pablo Honey and The Bends are pretty boring tho.
Can't wait to be shat on for giving 10s
>Remain In Light
8 (lags at the end but the first half is 10/10)
>Lift yr Skinny Fists
>lel so whimsical: the album
From best to worst:
I don't think ANY of these albums are bad (I also don't love all of them). Most of them are groundbreaking, or essential to their respective genres.
Giving low scores to essential albums is a meme
I don't promise those ratings are 100% accurate since i haven't heard some of those albums in ages... for example Remain In Light, i heard really long ago, and i think that if i would try it again it might grow in me.
but i tried, for you guys ~
lol dude you have no idea. here, take a lot at pic related, maybe it'll help.
just realized it isn't a first pressing but rather a limited reissue done in an edition of 550 that the band had. Still neat tho
It's not my fav Converge though, so i probably will pass
i've spent loads on books and records lately, so i think i'll just grab some cheap first presses of sick ass Nigerian afrobeat.
You realize some of those records can be grabbed VG+ for less than 8 bucks even with shipping?
it's not enough for you to just share you opinions you want everyone to know you're !ap8.PNSSTI and these are your opinions, not just in a particular thread but every time you post on this board
i don't really agree with any of these now that i look at them but w/e
Discogs is great if you like really rare or hard to find stuff
i work at record store, so i see plenty of your standard fare come through regularly, but finding hyper rare 1969 psych is a bit harder
This whole thread shows how bad the whole bard got, goodbye neo/mu/, may you die in your sleep choked by your own memes and underage shitposting.
i think anyone who's spent a week on /mu/ would be past that. a lot of 90s emo is trashy and dismissable as well though, especially the skramz shit. but there are a decent amount of outstanding bands.
i like thom's whining
part of why i don't like a lot of IDM (that i've listened to, at least), is because it sounds so "robotic", i guess. i have this problem with krautrock too. it doesn't feel as human to me, and thom whining does and i like it.
>Spirt They're Gone
>Remain In Light
>what does that even mean in the context of music
I don't recognize the authority of this /mu/core chart. Albums like American Football and Remain in Light have never reached the level of memery needed to qualify as /mu/core.

Bad wasn't really the right word, change it for "not outstanding" or average instead. It's nothing new, original, nor interesting; why should we care about it?
