It's making a comeback. Especially in the 20 to 25 age range. Then five years after this genre's peak we're gonna see a new batch of lewronggeneration teenagers saying how much the Cure was the tits and how much pop music sucks in 2020.
Every goth thread people mislabel genres. Fuck off if you can't differentiate between gothic rock and post-punk.
>b-but post-punk is the umbrella for the genres!!!
No and stop posting.
Don't mind me, just a actual goth passing by with some real music.
You're not wrong, but if you ever went to a siouxsie and the banshees show you would see a crowd composed of 90+% goths. They're inextricably linked to the gothic subculture, and anyone who was never part of that subculture won't see the distinction.
I don't come to a lot of goth threads I'll be honest. If they are then that's good, I love them but in my experience, most people I've tried to get to like them just can't stand them
Patrician choices passing by
Kate Bush- The dreaming
Nico - Marble Index
Les Rallizes Denudes - 77 live
Coil - And the Ambulance died in his arms...
Joy Division - Closer (It's fuckin goth you contrarian faggots)
The two aren't mutually exclusive. Just because it is noise rock doesn't mean it is not a goth album. Telling someone to go to a different board is a little passe dont you think?
Sisters of mercy
Joy division (yes)
Red lorry yellow lorry (not the mission fuck them)
The whole weird crew: current 93, death in june, nurse with wound, non, coil,...
That's it. Everthing else is pleb
I really dig Elvira Madigan. Angelis Deamonae is a solid album that relatively engaging. The other albums are fantastic, but the other albums are done 90% in what I can only assume is latin. Idk wtf goth rock is even, but if I had to suggest something, this would be it. Give Elvira Madigan - Spanish Train a try.
