Please have sex
>>61716879
Their violent and graphic yes, but there's something oddly poetic about them, and very immersive
Does /mu/ finally like The Suburbs?
It's honestly one of the best albums this decade
>>61717717
Was there a time /mu/ didn't like it?
Arcade Fire are jerks, but I thought that The Suburbs was generally liked here.
>>61717610
Fucking love that record, a stone kills me
>>61717791
Why are they jerks?
>>61717744
Muh nigga
You have to read along with the text, because they're hard to understand. But they're worth it.
>>61717744
the only right answer
>>61717744
I've been meaning to check that record record out but there's nothing about that's particularity interesting
>>61717821
what is this album? is it a meme? is it someone shilling it?
it's just one of countless of forgotten bandcamp records but it keeps popping up here
>>61717809
If I remember correctly, they once made very childish comments about electronic musicians at a festival, saying that it wasn't real music because they didn't use real instruments and that stuff. That ruined my sympathy for them, it doesn't make their music any less brilliant though.
>>61717847
yes
>>61717844
lol? LOL? LMAO LOL
>>61717843
Eh, it's not for everyone. To me the music and lyrics perfectly complement each other.
>>61717744
This
>In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection
>>61717809
not him but Win does come off as a bit of a dick. most of the band seem really cool but Win is pretty fucking pretentious
in fairness to him I think it's just cause he hates interviews so much which is understandable, he's still a genius
here's an interview:

THE LAST DEFENDER OF THE SPRAWL
SAID WELL WHERE DO YOU KIDS LIVE?
WELL SIR, IF YOU ONLY KNEW WHAT THE ANSWER'S WORTH.
BEEN SEARCHING
EVERY CORNER
OF THE EARTH
But Funeral is still their GOAT.
>ALICE DIED, IN THE NIGHT
>I'VE BEEN LEARNING HOW TO DRIVE
>>61717889
Dress sexy at my funeral for once in your life.
>>61717860
sauce?
>>61716879
The Suburbs is cool and all but its nothing like Funeral
>>61717791
I think the overall reception of The Suburbs here is that most people haven't listened to it cause they think it's going to be generic indie trash but everyone who has loves it
>>61717809
>>61717860
I just looked it back up, it's not quite as harsh as I remember it. It was a bunch of years ago at Coachella and Win Butler said: "Shout out to all the bands still playing actual instruments at this festival." The whole "real instruments" debate is so childish and unnecessary and I didn't expect a guy like him that sings about open-mindedness to say something like that.
I LIKE DOGS MUCH BETTER
memes aside nouns are one of the most promising rock bands around right now
>>61717981
>I just looked it back up
I want the fucking sauce you nigger
>>61718022
Yeah I'm sorry man, I only read your comment after I posted mine. Here you go:

i didn't like the lyrics on Still at all except for a few bits here and there, but i always thought the lyrics on Still bummed were fantastic, and how the whole album seems to be a concept album with a narrative
probably the most amount of thought i've ever put into a review
>>61717844
Sound of Silver's might be better though...
>>61717610
down's syndrome
>>61718033
I like the difference in maturity here, one guy calls you a nigger for not having a link while calling it "sauce"
You proceed to politely apologize for not having it there
>>61718092
>probably the most amount of thought i've ever put into a review
have you reviewed this record? would love to read it if you tell me where I could find it
and yeah i love the narrative of the record, the album cover is so fitting and despite the meme-ery of "I LIKE DOGS MUCH BETTER" it's a great lyric and always gives me the feels
THE NULLIFYING, DEFEATING,NEGATING, REPEATING, JOOOOOOOOOOY OF LIIIIIIIIIIFE
>>61717153
>muh so liberal and le progressive
>muh capitalism
>muh we're all drones manipulated by fox news

>>61719597
Sounds like something a homeless person with an end of the world sign would be shouting on the streets
>>61716879
The meant nothing at all part from the title track it's me hard every time for some vague reason
>>61719474
Thanks for appreciating my politeness.
>>61716879
>If I could have it back
>All the time that we wasted
>Oh I would love to waste it again and again and again...
