>30 fucking burgers
Why do people buy vinyl again?
the physical artwork. I have a record collection and no record player. I download all my shit on flac for free, so when I love an album enough and feel the need to support the artist, then Ill buy some vinyl
>I have a record collection and no record player.
Holy fucking shit I wanna beat you up so bad.
I have a record collection and no record player.
Not when you're only buying one album maybe. 4 albums and you've already payed over a hundred bucks. For FOUR records.
Face it bro you're getting fleeced because all the hipsters like yourself want to seem cool and unique when you're really just a sheep.
Sure the artwork is nice but it's not THAT nice.
>old shitty outdated format
It sounds better than a fucking CD, fucking faggot. It's an uncompressed format.
It is not too much for a record, and mostly if you're getting it when it is released, but if you plan to get a big collection, it is fucking expensive. Just think how much would you pay for 100 LP's (and considering that a collection consisting of just 100 is fucking small).
My friend's dad is actually an audiophile, and makes enough money to go high-end (they own a national store chain, something like a 7-figure salary)
He told me he does it mostly for collective purposes, but as an added bonus he rips them for the FLAC
Shit sounds amazing in his sound room, his tubes and equipment are worth something around 50k
It only takes 2000 playbacks to even begin the sound degradation. That's more playbacks than you'll ever make even in your digital music because your ADD is so intense you can't even listen to a full album without switching it off.
i do this. i cant afford a good record player and my neighbor and friend has an amazing sound system and record player, so for the past few years i've known him, i've started buying records so i can just go chill at his place and listen to them. i dont do it to support the artists though
>It only takes 2000 playbacks to even begin the sound degradation. That's more playbacks than you'll ever make even in your digital music because your ADD is so intense you can't even listen to a full album without switching it off.
LmAO got that fuxker good.
>implying any of these /mu/ fags even listen to entire albums
You niggas play 3 meme tracks and you're done.
I got blackstar on CD but I want the Hateful 8 on vinyl.
>Want to get into Vinyl because I want to have a physical collection of my music
>No idea where to start
Doesn't even matter that is "sounds better". I love the art, the inserts, the feeling of having a physical collection of music is fucking great.
>everybody getting triggered over this
I buy vinyl for the physicality of it too.
Also not all of us are neets, I can't afford a turntable I think would be worth buying yet, until then I'm going to build a collection of albums I know I like so I'll have shit to spin when I do buy one
honestly its better this than the opposite. having a record player just for the cred is worse than having actual physical copies of music that shows your personal taste without a means to play them
CDs are great until the cover hinge fails or the front cracks.
With vinyl it's just sun damage/yellowing and bent corners desu.
I collect movies, books, CDs, vinyl, and vidya. I could probably open a shop if I wanted.
>posting on a Chadian water filtration board
>calling someone autistic for having a hobby
I nuy an album then make a first play high quality audio cassette recording which i will use for day to day listening and only get the vinyl out on super special occasions.
I also use mp3's wav's flac but i love the sound of my 80's/90's set up
It's hard to get good tapes these days tough.
