What artist death will destroy you?
Please keep meme magic to a minimum
no matter who dies
>ill be fine
It already happened...
>>61693374
i hope David Tibet lives forever
with all his gnostic knowledge he should be able to find a way to cheat death
>>61693407
Moon magick couldn't save Jhonn Balance, anon.
>>61693398
Damn...
>>61693374
Did they hire him at least to score this Blade Runner sequel with Gosling?
Only mortals can die, so I think Yamantaka Eye is ok.
>>61693374
Dylan will hurt me a lot. But nothing compared to Bowie.
Honestly, he's the only person I can think of whose death would fuck me up just as much, if not, more so than Bowie's.
>>61693431
We don't know yet. All we know is that it's a two protagonist story (Gosling and an uncasted female), and Ford will make an appearance.
>stefan
>zach
>andy
>thom
>dylan
these will all really hurt. what's worse is half of them won't even be famous in old age so we won't know if they die ;*(
already happened when i found out that Jerry Garcia died
was also kinda bummed out when Lou Reed died, but not to the extent of Garcia

>>61693598
I will be sad because he is also a damn nice person but it won't destroy me totally.
>>61693668
JMJ is very important for me. His music was the gateway for discovering great electronic music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD4KMp22jBg
him, Neil Young, Daniel Johston, Tom Verlaine, and Paul Westerberg will obliterate me
death no longer concerns me
i am more worried about the artists whose continued existences will annoy me
>>61693456
He's a leaf on a windy day
Pretty soon he'll be blown away
>>61693753
Have you seen JMJ live? I was lucky to see him last in Germany some time ago.
>>61694174
Twice (2008 & 2010) and it was amazing. There were some indoor concerts where he performed with old analogue synths. There was also a laser show on the second one.
>>61694269
Yeah for me it was always the indoor show with laser effects. I forced a friend to come with me who thought at first it might be cheesy and too "vintage" and he was blown away afterwards.
He's not just a godly musician. He's a good guy, and his departure will be sad.
>>61694392
Shit is is also not immortal. Damn.
any member of Rush
>>61694368
Yes, the laser show was really, really cool. Regarding the setlist: too bad he didn't play Chronologie Part 4. I love this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tp8wRxx-2TY
>>61694462
Not kidding, can you help me out here
>>61694429
>>61694568
Yeah, he is always best when he composed those hymn like melodies.
What do you think of his latest collabaration album. Plus did you see the documetary they shot about him last year?
>>61693374
It happened yesterday.
But...
Brian Wilson
Brian Eno
Noel Gallagher
Thom Yorke
>>61694672
Good list... I mean, sad list... I mean, I can agree.
Eno
We need to stop having these threads, this board is cursed.
>>61693407
This one, big time. I'm sure he'll have some amazing final album though, last time he almost died we got Sleep Has His House which is my personal favorite C93 album.
If Vangelis dies within the next three months, I'm gonna punch OP in the face.
Anyone else gonna join me?
Iggy Pop, its hard knowing he'll probably die in the next 3 years.
James Taylor, Sam Beam, and John Darnielle will fuck me up for days. Nick Cave too. But if I can get through Jason Molina's death I can get through anything.
Ian
>>61693598
and this.
>>61695525
Yepp I'll join you. doxx him hard. Might even take a plane from yurope to wherever he might live.
>>61693394
this
Life is all about losing stuff. Ultimately your youth, vitality, friends, family, belongings, everything. Less and less upset with each loss.
David Gilmour
Daniel Johnston
Rivers Cuomo (I dunno, I just have this weird feeling he's going to die young)
Tom Waits
So who's gonna be the most fine?
>>61696402
Vangelis is fat, old, and Greek. He'll be fine.
>>61693374
Lou Reed was the one.
>>61696534
Fripp is immortal. His need to pull King Crimson cover art from Spotify is too strong.
>>61694392
I'll masturbate furiously in his honor
>>61694646
I really like his collab album, Electronica 1. It seems there will be a part 2 this year,
>Plus did you see the documetary they shot about him last year?
Do you mean those short videos with every collaborator from E1? I watched them.
When I hear that Ralf's been unplugged for good, I'll feel as though one of my own family has died, no joke. Luckily he's a /fit/ son of a bitch, so he's got a while left in him yet. Bastard better not go without finishing the next Kraftwerk album he's been promising for the last fifteen years either.
>>61693407
shit man
this would tear me apart, he's always so open about his life, his friends his beliefs, his cats
Aphex Twin
Sufjan Stevens
Gilmour/Waters
Ringo

CAN I RIDE WITH YOU IN YOUR BMW YOU CAN SAIL WITH ME IN MY YEEEEEELOW SUBMARINE
dudes songwriting is retarded and he cant play guitar, i wish him a long painful death
The truth is, I like to pretend I have a personal relationship with artists through their artwork, but I don't really. I just have a self-reflexive relationship with the art.
So honestly, most artists "die" for me long before they die a physical death.
The day I see an artist has a new album out and decide not to listen to it, they're dead to me for almost all intents and purposes. I mean, they don't communicate with me in any other way.
My favorite artist is Peter Gabriel. I'm not sure I plan on listening to his next album. If his career continues the way it's going, he might as well be dead, from my perspective. Obviously I don't wish death upon the man, and when he dies I'll make a sad facebook post or something, but let's be real: I've never even met him, and I don't even know if he recently released an album.
>>61694392
this is an old photo right? or did he lose a shit ton of weight
>>61696659

Also watch his Cairo Egypt show if you haven't yet. It's mind blowing.
> Brian Hugh Warner
For those people that dont know who is by his real name: Marilyn Manson.
>>61697042
I watched all his major concerts on video. La Defense, Barcelona, Moscow, Concert Pour La Tolerance & Rendez-Vous Houston are my fave ones.
Jason Pierce has been on chemo... He'll be fine, I swear, he'll be fine...
>>61697056

>tfw 18
>tfw nearly all of my favorite artists will likely die before me
>>61694462
Tom Waits has gotten me through so many hard times. My Dad played him exclusively when I was young and Tom Waits music kind of became a soundtrack to my life.
His death is gonna really shake me up.
Frusciante
I was on this guys dick from an early age
Thinking a codeine overdose; I'm sure he's careful, but he's also bitch-made.
