rec rate assume
recs being the most useful though
I dunno anything on your chart so I'll reccomend that you watch "the dish"
+dark side of the moog V
I listened to that yesterday. I should relisten to the series.
do WE like the same stuff?
Oh my god you are seriously the first person I've ever seen on /mu/ who also likes Zolof. Wouldchillwith/10. Have you heard of Now, Now? I like their song "Thread" especially the One AM Radio remix. Kinda makes me think of Tegan & Sara.
I think Brian Eno has popped up in my Spotify recs. What's the best by him?
I hate how last.fm fucked up album tag scrobbling so much
Have you listened to Autolux? I love their album Future Perfect. You'd probably like "Sugarless" although my favorite is "Plantlife"
>death in rome
lol I forgot about them, thanks for reminding me
check out joseph - stoned age man
+boris, townes van zandt, hanatarash
check out: kauffman and caboor - songs from suicide bridge
+dragged into sunlight & gnaw their tongues, dalek
have you heard about the upcoming album from the body & full of hell?
+the haxan cloak
check out: roly porter - life cycle of a massive star
+chelsea wolfe, the cure, joy division, boris' best album
zolof is a band i cant find any other band that is good in the same way as them. the sound, the lyrics they just hit the nail on the head imo as to how pop should sound. ive heard now now but ill have to check the am mix though. i dont really put now now in the same group as zolof. got any recs specifically like them? i need more zolof and i dont expect a come back album anytime soon
Have I told you that I think you and post-feelist are the same person
I'm working on this theory
But I thought you NEVER hated anything :o
>I think Brian Eno has popped up in my Spotify recs. What's the best by him?
Start with Another Green World
Not my favorite but it's a good start
not bad. the vocals kill it for me though
no, they look interesting. i'll give it a shot
pretty sure that's what I meant senpai
I make an exception for last.fm devs
or maybe I don't REALLY hate them but I just like complaining on the internet
>not bad. the vocals kill it for me though
you may like author and punisher better then. the painted army (album) is more industrial metal-y with guitars and clean vocals but the later albums exclusively use custom built instruments and have more harsh, heavily treated vocals.
I feel like guessing favourite drinks today
+Dino Jr, Bowie
+Elliot Smith, RHP
I'm on a hip hop kick rn... Would appreciate something like Leaves Turn Inside You or Yerself is Steam
check out Harmonium
- Wild Nothing, Pearl Jam, Wavves. fuck those bands
listen to more Zep and Godflesh
listen to more musix
i would recommend that you recommend other people stuff before you hit post
+suburban lawns, tom waits, townes, boris but not that album
+ ornette coleman, amon duul II, ground zero
for some reason i would recommend listening to Breadwinner
No I definitely wouldn't put Now, Now with Zolof either. I wish to god I had a rec like them for you but there's really nobody else doing it like them. The closest thing I can think of would be like... The Pains of Being Pure at Heart but they're more dream pop.
Hahaha oh my god. I actually am definitely a water drinker.
I'm like 5 mionutes into "Cloud" from Life cycle of a massive star and it's pretty kickass so far, thanks for the rec!
Fuck I forgot my chart rip
Batushka - Litourgiya
Polvo - Today's Active Lifestyles
Madrugada - Industrial Silence
it's a shitty meme forced by neo-prog fans
of course not
oh, I though you were talking about the black squares
i don't listen to avant-folk though
I prefer tea
you strike me as a Dr. Pepers person
no time sadly
listen The Crimson Curse
aren't we all, unless you like wallowing in your sadness, maybe trying some new stuff might at least lift up your spirit by a little
can't stand it, the only energy drink I ever liked was kickstart and I stopped drinking that when I stopped drinking soda
check out: up tight - lucrezia
+open mike eagle, dalek
>I'm like 5 mionutes into "Cloud" from Life cycle of a massive star and it's pretty kickass so far, thanks for the rec!
check out everything else put out by the subtext label then, it's all in the same vein and really good
+coil, om, joanna newsom, giles corey, HANL
did you like any of the yt links I gave you last thread?
check out: eleh - radiant intervals, nurse with wound - soliloquy for lilith, yob - clearing the path to ascend
+grim, english heretic
you'd like pic related
no the black squares thing is p much solved now you can upload album art again
Your chart makes me want to get my Nick Drake collection back.
Lot of classics on here I haven't listened to in awhile, thanks for the reminder.
I enjoy your chart.
Fuck yeah to by the throat and NLDW.
If you don't already listen to Fuck Buttons and/or Blanck Mass that's my recommendation. "Surf Solar" or "The Red Wing" by FB and "Detritus" or "Sundowner" by Blanck Mass.
hey, you're listening to the good entry level shit
take some recs:
PYLAR - He Venydo A Reclamar My Trono
(cause you like Om)
Crescent - Collected Songs
(cause you like Slint and all sorts of sad slowcore stuff)
Vic Chesnutt - North Star Deserter
SMOKE - Another Reason To Fast
(even more sadness)
Current 93 - Sleep Has His House
(fuck it, you're not sad enough)
>p much solved
not quite true, certain artist names autocorrect to a "standard" so editing the art of releases under a name that is autocorrected is impossible
this wouldn't be a problem but tapmusic doesn't seem to take into account this autocorrection, leading to permanent black squares
see: mishio ogawa - 4 to 3
Does anybody else have problems with the last.fm scrobbler crashing all the time?
sad music makes me feel understood though. i enjoy uplifting, hopeful music (like modal soul and by the throat) but not when it's light hearted and jokey, as is often the case.
it's rarely an overbearing misery, more just emotional scars that have engraved themselves into my persona.
I could solve the problem if I just used whatever the autocorrected tag is in the first place but I can't read japanese so it's pretty dumb
it's also a problem with IU and it's evidence of last.fms shortcomings in a big way
such an inelegant, shitty way to solve the problem of variations on tagging
obviously clams casino's other instrumental mixtapes (1,2, and 3) but in terms of other artists
all of the producer GREAF's work, particularly the albums/tapes
and "GREAF was here", those are good starters.
Bine, on my collage is similar but is a bit more trap-esque
also uylsses' "forget this record" is good as well. the beats are rather simple, but have a similar sound.
