If you can't name just 10 David Bowie songs that aren't:
Ashes to Ashes
Man who sold the world (before you heard the Nirvana version)
then congratulations, you're excused.
starman, suffragete city, let's dance, life on mars, jean genie, space oddity, heroes, ziggy stardust, changes, golden years
I don't get this thread at all, I'm not even a massive bowie fan and this is as easy as fuck. You probably should've disallowed singles m8
It's because Bowie's death is already probably gonna be the biggest music related thing that happened this year. Everyone wants to be a contrarian, because /mu/ is more of a shitpost board than actual music board
I'm actually not very familiar with Bowie's work at all so let's see if I can:
Heroes, Life On Mars, Space Oddity, Starman, Kooks, Memory of a Free Festival, Changes, Quicksand, Fame, Blackstar
I feel like some of those songs are more well known than the ones you named, though.
World on a Wing
Station To Station
Life On Mars
I'm Afraid Of Americans
This is easy, even if you aren't a Bowie fan. You should have excluded Heroes, Life on Mars, Ziggy Stardust, Let's Dance, Space Oddity. Nearly everybody knows these
Unless the Stones, the last two remaining Beatles, Willie Nelson and Neil Diamond are all in the same plane that crashes into Mike D's house while he and Ad Rock are recording with Jay Z, this is the music story of 2016
>Tears in Heaven
>Smells Like Teen Spirit
>West End Girls
>I'm Still Standing
>It Ain't Me
and my favorite
>Life on Mars?
>John Lennon was secretly very racist and a bigot
IDK why this would surprise anyone
Even people in their mid 40s are still almost universally massive racists (usually "I'm not racist but..." types) and now there's this 'new wave' of racism ("b-b-but SJWS! cucks!")
someone raised in the 40s/ 50s literally stood no chance. it genuinely amazes me when old people aren't racist tbqh
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence
It's not the side effects of the cocaine
Put on your red shoes
The clinic called, Xray's fine
Dance magic dance
Don't lean on me man
That Panama Jack is a real cool cat
Didn't get AIDS from sharing Freddy Mercury's mic
Day in, Day out
I honestly doubt the percentage of older people who are racist is much different than it is for younger people. They're just too out of touch to know how to mask it anymore. I'd bet a lot of people in their mid-40s probably wouldn't be able to stomach the awful racist shit said on this very board. Before the internet, you'd have to live in the most racist KKK controlled community to be exposed to as much blatant neo-Nazi type rhetoric. And I think reading that shit affects you whether or not you agree or take it seriously.
>now there's this 'new wave' of racism
>denying the existence of white privilege is "racism"
>"b-but prejudice + power!"
>They're just too out of touch to know how to mask it anymore.
perhaps you're right. I'm probably biased because I work a dull office job with a bunch of 40-somethings and I just get sick of hearing the constant 'I don't have a problem with foreigners but...' conversations, like everyone's a walking daily mail article or something
This is also why I've come to despise people who go on about benefits scroungers and think they're better people for working some shitty 9-5
A new career in town
Sense of Doubt
all his berlin era ambient songs to show how patrician i am :^)
Sunday, fantastic track
Fantastic Voyage, probably best Bowie track
Warszawa, experimental greatness
Station to staion, one of his best openers
Kooks, I broke down to this one yesteday
Diamond Dogs, season of the bitch
Moss Garden, seems mostly eno but I love it all the same
She's got medals, best track from earlier period
Drive-in Saturday, Aladdin Sane quite underrated
Time, Flexes like a whore, Falls wanking to the floor.
>because /mu/ is more of a shitpost board than actual music board
Remember where we are.
All the Madmen
Girl Loves Me
Oh! You Pretty Things
The Supermen (which is an amazing song btw)
Does anyone else legitimately suck at remember names of artists, albums and tracks?
Even on some of my favourite albums I still draw a blank if asked to name the tracks. I don't spend the whole time staring at the track names desu, I'm only human.
