I collect 8 tracks.

Personality wise cassette collectors by far, normal people like vinyl while with cassettes if they're not old or musicians / hardcore appreciators themselves they're hipster tattooed faggots who probably like Andrew Jackson Jihad and follow vapor wave tumblr accounts

Also there's nothing wrong with vinyl or cassettes themselves

Collecting vinyl and listening to vinyl is a legitimate hobby that serves a legitimate purpose, especially if the music you're buying was recorded analog. not available online, AND never transferred to the CD or mp3 download/streaming model? then I go and buy a vinyl LP - because I couldn't get the music any other way.

I get physical copies if I really like something, but I won't go for vinyl unless I absolutely must. some enjoy the prep/cleaning ritual - to me it's a hassle: something to avoid if I can manage it.

I think that cassette collectors are worse than vinyl, because of how most cassette formats degrade over time due to the read and write head design. In the end, I don't really care.

The most annoying in my opinion are streamers, because the majority don't know shit about sound quality and such. YouTube to mp3 users are a close second.
