let me anatomize the incorrectness of this statement

- they've done one album with any deathcore influence
- their musicianship puts basically every actual nu-metal band to shame
- their lyricism and aesthetic has nothing to do with the genre stereotypes, seriously, find me one comparable artist outside of japanese bands influenced by them

Prog and doom is way more emotional than black
>>
>>61677025
Sick taste

The first, second and third Sabbath albums but no love for Paranoid though?
>>
>>61677028
listen to me desu

this album is goddamn prophetic. right from the start: a song about a possibly unstable homeless man who believes he sees the future. Then songs about almost sci-fi like issues, in the sense that sci-fi just exaggerates existing problems. This albums tackles gender issues, totalitarian government, about technology replacing our personalities, civil war, and possibly the most prevalent problem we have right now; overpopulation

all in the tone of a man who knows how fucking fucked everybody is, knows we are doomed, and knows we can do nothing to stop it.

So I consider it emotionally expressive.

Most black metal is just satan grr

what you are doing is the equivalent of putting your hands over your ears and saying lalalalalalala

you said tech-death was unemotional. I showed you two albums I considered emotionally expressive. I haven't called you names, and one guy from your side called me a faggot.

And now you're shutting me out after starting this.

Weakling, American black metal. Laid the groundwork for Liturgy, WITTR, Deafheaven, basically every American blackgaze blackwhatever not-pure black metal band is in some way influenced by these guys. And it's actually good:

The Absence, great American melodeath. Very easy listening to get you back into the metal mood:

Mistur, project of ex-Windir members after Valfar accidentally froze to death, folk-y black metal:

Gloryhammer, fun power metal, ignore anyone that says anything otherwise:
