take your protein pills and put your helmet on
what a day.
I put off listening to Blackstar and now Bowie's gone I feel I can't listen to it in an unbiased way anymore fug
nice Harmonium, their second is their masterpiece desu
bias is important
is l'heptade the second? if so i agree if not eat my butt
bad day actually
Harmonia > Harmonium
what music turns me into a cute girl with pastel colored hair
you're right and you can't ever escape bias, it's just that it feels weird now
l'heptade is the one I meant, but I wouldn't mind eating your butt can we work something out perhaps
don't say that about yourself
i think your taste shown in this collage is perfect but
you might like japanther

i've always wanted to listen to gong

i've never listened to 13th floor elevators
haven't been able to listen to as much lately cause the headphone jack on my phone is fucked
i bet you'd like the sound of ms. gratch's fingernails grating against a veritable scroll of chalkboard if you had the chance to catch something like that
probably not though. listen to saw by the too much too soon orchestra
or soliloquy for lilith by nurse with wound
or torture garden by naked city
four winds the walker was just ok. this is fire by them's not too shabby though but i'm recommending them with a foot on the sidewalk if you get what i mean
listen to something by harmonium instead. the consensus seems to be to go for l'heptade
Dig your chart.
++Chet Baker, Vinicius, Shorter, McLaughlin
i haven't done one of these in a while, i don't really listen to music anymore but i decided to turn my scrobbler on again bc why not
nice pygmy and indian summer, but the rest of the folky drone stuff on ur chart bored the balls off of me tho
nice summer zombie taste
something something avant-teen, lol jk i'd probably like you i think
i know you
o shit didn't even notice clikatat, more good post hardcore on ur chart. i'm also like 100% sure i've heard that 'plunge' album at the top of ur chart but i can't be assed to remember what it's called or whom it's by
let the feels happen
noise - tenno
ya i was right, i looked it up on rym and i had like a 2 down for it lol.
and i have not, i'm generally down for '90s emo tho so i'll give it a spin
u should try lync and shotmaker if u havent already
What'd you think of the Hinds album? I enjoyed it, it's nothing special or innovative, but a fun listen. Also nice, I haven't heard Mahavishnu Orchestra in years, my buddy used to play some songs by them.
Blackstar was a pretty good album regardless, especially given how many albums he had put out by that point. I'd give it a listen still.
It's been a while since I listened to that of Montreal Four Track Recording album, I feel they're one band I can listen to the entire discography (and while some albums are better than others obviously) I can still enjoy it the whole way through, especially watching their sound evolve.
Is there a reason people listen to Substance 1987 over the full lengths? I always feel like /mu/ frowns upon greatest hits/compilation albums like that, this being the exception.
I'm a fan of the Deerhunter albums, the GBV one, and Goat by Jesus Lizard. As much as I want to enjoy Quasimoto, what Madlib does to his voice just really pisses me off.
I enjoy most of the albums on your chart, good taste anon.
I feel like Bun-B's Trill doesn't get enough respect around here. Good choice there, nice seeing someone else listening to it.
I feel like everyone saw something else in Art Angels that I missed. I still don't get the hype, and I'm a big fan of synthpop and female vocalists. Maybe it's just not for me. I've put off listening to that Vashti Bunyan album for a bit now, it's definitely on my to-listen list, I've just been going through random albums and artists I've put off for a while, lately a lot of female vocalists, so that'd fit in nice
Here's mine. Guess things about me, rec me albums/artists, talk shit, whatever floats your boat.
only album i specifically don't like on my chart is the ziggurat. sorry.
+plastic beach, yeezus, eccojams, since i left you, watch the throne
wow all albums i like, but none i'd say are great. ain't that something.
++mbdtf, RAM, tpab, sound of silver
also, i'd put elevation on my ++, but how'd you listen to it enough for a place on your chart? have you been listening to the remixes too, or just the single?
i mean your tastes have to be super similar if i've said that like 3 different times in the past half year or so (which i'm pretty sure is the case), but idk, i'm sorry, it's super weird that i've done this to you that much
god i wish i could post that gif again, i'm so embarrased rn
>Is there a reason people listen to Substance 1987 over the full lengths? I always feel like /mu/ frowns upon greatest hits/compilation albums like that, this being the exception.
pop compilations are almost always better than the artist's mainline releases imo, ofc new order is def an exception but the fact stands that substance serves as a fantastic intro to new order's prime and as a fantastic stand alone listening experience
>substance serves as a fantastic intro to new order's prime and as a fantastic stand alone listening experience
True, I think I'm just a bit autistic when it comes to full albums. It just seems to be the compilation album I see the most on last.fm charts and I figured I'd ask.
i just found it uncanny that its happened specifically to me
