Anyone else dig the shit out of this album? The whole thing is god-tier, but those melodic moments really caught my ear, like the one at 0:57-1:39
>And if my truth
>then be baptized in it's flame
I think early Cathedral-era doom was far from being simple, it had incredible ideas, required a great deal of imagination and skill.
There's a documentary about a young mentally disabled man who has a favorite drummer and about how he gets to meet this drummer he loves so much; Lars Ulrich.
>tl;dr A retarded person thinks Lars Ulrich is the best drummer in the world.
The documentary is called Mission to Lars
Also speaking of funeral doom, what did you think of 2 biggest bands making a return?
Mayhem, darkthrone and immortal are all shit
Unimaginative simple music that uses too much tremolo. I can write you a second wave black metal song right now.
At least Varg had some imagination
I'm not going to listen to that shit, I've already listened to enough of it already and came to the conclusion that it's simple and boring
muh dissonant non-riffs
didn't they already have that in thrash metal?
What's up with trips and having shit taste?
its time for everyone to chill out
it's dangerous to go out so mad, take this
Is Matti the most /fa/ metal frontman ever?
>tfw no mid-2000s Melodeath gf
Reminder that Light this City are GOAT and if you disagree you can get out.
What's the best non-norwegian black metal band?
What's the best Norwegian non-black metal band?
it's hard to decide on favorite bands because then it should follow that I listened to all of their albums, but I didn't really (are they really my favorites then?)
I did listen to all of Windir and all the good Burzum albums
Have you looked at the tabs? Are the riffs in any particular key at all?
>accidentals, accidentals, everywhere
my wifes son showed me this album. what do you guys think?
what are you listening to you shitposting assholes
Listening to this with my mom right now. Does black metal get any better than this?
is there any war metal with unusual dissonant riffs like the kind gorguts worship had?
fucking talking about canadian metal and you give me atmoshit (albiet good atmoshit)?
>tfw just fucked myself in the ass and came inside for the first time
metal for this feel?
I didn't fuck myself technically though, I did it literally. I can provide pics although it'll be kind of difficult to timestamp considering my dick will fall out the moment I stop pushing down on it.
A lot of his music is a bit forgettable 2bh but his recent stuff has been pretty good imo, loved this album:
>why does it seem that 99 percent of his fanbase are beyond pretentious faglords
might be because he is a bit of a pretentious faglord
A PILL TO MAKE NUMB A PILL TO MAKE YOU DUMB A PILL TO MAKE YOU ANYBODYYY ELSE
ALL THE DRUGS IN THIS WORLD WON'T SAVE HER FROM HERRRSELLFF
I've only ever measured during noon but the biggest I measured was 7,3" at the time, it might vary depending on what time of the day it is so in the evening it could even be smaller or something.
You just need to be half-erect (so still have a chub) to get it around flexibly, it naturally gets hard once you put it inside of your anus. My dick bends on one side a little more so I just push my balls away and can bend it 180° without hurting myself so when I position myself it just slides right in. Took me hours to find the perfect position though.
Pretty damn good considering I didn't use any lube senpai, next time I'll do it with lube I imagine it'll have to be amazing.
liking doom/sludge was already pushing the boundaries of their taste. I imagine it's not really intuitive to transition from listening to indie folk garabe to loud crushing riffs but I've been wrong before
the main differences, as i see it, are that meshuggah are intentionally repetitive to create a hypnotic/trancelike mindset, and most djent tends to be a lot more erratic, with a lot more high-string work. meshuggah also have a much darker, more claustrophobic atmosphere than modern djent, which tends to be relatively light and dreamy in comparison.
>posting metal on facebook
>what is powerlevel
Any other quirky death/thrash/grind amalgams like pic related?
This album is fucking deranged
>tfw I have friends who listen to grind, doom, sludge and hardcore
feels good man
>muh dissonant non-riffs
>Have you looked at the tabs? Are the riffs in any particular key at all?
>accidentals, accidentals, everywhere
You don't have a clue about music theory do you?
this is p gr8
is their discog consistent or should i leave it at this album
Speaking of hipsters, I enjoy Deafheaven, GY!BE, Lightning Bolt, some Swans, hardcore, and some stoner metal/rock. I've tried some types of metal but couldn't really get into them.
CAN YOU GUYS REC ME SOME STUFF?
I would really appreciate it. Preferably some post rock or shoegazy stuff, but I'd be happy to try anything you recommend.
My favourite album from the genre (and the one that got me into it in the first place) is Nails - Abandon All Life. It has a much higher (and imo better) production quality than a lot of the other bands in the genre, and it has the same punchy energy that LB has.
Don't know if you're meming or not, but this looks nice, so thanks either way.
Make me ;P
Thanks for the recs guys, I'll check these out.
i didn't say i was a hipster
i said i was prepared to get called one for liking:
Sleep, Electric Wizard, Godflesh, Earth, Sunn 0))), Pig Destroyer, Nails, Melvins, Type O Negative and Atheist
If liking shitty popular bands makes you a hipster, then is it really even hipster anymore?
If you're just droning P4K and Fantano you're just an entry level indie kiddie
A true hipster should be more contrarian and underground than that
Only managed to finish a black melogay riff
Meh Good idk Decent Good Great idk

Listen to this. Greatest ep of all time
This may be a bit off-topic, but I don't know where else to go with this. A friend of mine just showed me Leviathan and I checked out A Silhouette in Splinters, and for the first song, Traveling Over the Ocean's Skull, there are two versions on youtube. Anyone know which is the right one?
First one is 10:41
Second is 6:24
Anyone else think this actually has some potential?
I just wish the handful of DT fans on this board would stop acting like autistic fucks and let me be hype in peace.
DT's biggest problem is filler between the good technical sections, and there's no way a double concept album won't have metric fucktons of filler. It probably will be fun to take the piss out of though
Holy shit is this real life
