I don't think I've felt quite this sad from an artist dying before. Could we maybe throw something together to pay him a tribute?
Just suggest some track names and I'll put the first ten good ones in a list and we'll claim and make them as usual, let's not bother with rolling for dubs
>>61666600
Space Oddity, Changes, Life on Mars?, Let's Spend the Night Together, and Ziggy Stardust are a must.
>>61666600
Five Years
Rebel Rebel
The Secret Life of Arabia
Space Oddity
The Man Who Sold The World
Heroes as album closer
>>61666600
We tried singing earlier, like /a/ did for moot, but that kinda failed due to the wealth of shitty voices. Almost had me willing to try "Ashes to Ashes."

Also, try this album, it's all his hits:

Under Pressure should be on there too. One of the greatest duets between the Kings of Glam Rock (Bowie and Freddie Mercury)
>>61668063
sound and vision
So, where will we all sing together
>>61668516
Maybe? We could do a double album (single along and individual arrangements) Anyone want to taken on the role of producer/producers?
>>61668614
I'll give it a shot, but damn, reproducing ten Bowie tracks...
>>61668516
*sing along
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0MHQyVcNFHr (First verse from Heroes)
We could definitely do it, the individual tracks we should consider collaborating instrumental arrangements.
I could see Heroes being produced in a folk/jazz manner. Hell, the song is really easy to harmonize and could be done a capella (I suck with instrument in hand, but I could sing and easily layer, mix the tracks)
Each person singing an individual line is better than everyone's voice on top of one another.
Wait, what happens if underage b& participate? Those fuckers will probably mess it up with their squeaky ass voices.
>>61668792
This is also a great idea, to include more people from /mu/
>>61668831
Boy sopranos are gold.
Please don't you ugly tripfag.
>>61666600
One of the most underrated songs is in my opinion What's Really Happening from Hours.
The melody, the fan made lyrics (hive mind work) and the overall mood is awesome and fits perfectly for a internet tribute album

This is actually pretty cool.
I would really like to do a cover of Space Oddity if you wouldn't mind. I can do it in a couple days, probably tomorrow.
>>61669139
Sure thing.
I'm gonna record Rebel Rebel with a drummer and bassist I know from college and we'll probably have it done about this time tomorrow as well
I have never participated in a /mu/ makes an album thing, but I feel compelled to since Bowie was one of the first artists I fell in love with. How does this work and what can I do to help? Will there be a sing along?
>>61669218
Do you have a Skype? It's easier for me to send files there without risking a quality drop
>>61669255
I think Life on Mars? and "Heroes" should both be the singalong tracks
>>61669218
Nice. I can add the vocals if you want. I think maybe Heroes should be the sing along. Open on that?
>we are all heroes in our own minds
>>61669333
YES :D
>>61669326
Oh, just put it on mega and put the link on the Contact Install a Friend thing on my bandcamp
https://installafriend.bandcamp.com/
The link should be on the right hand side I think
>>61669407
Alright, thank you.
It should be done by Thursday. Or would that be too long?
>>61669454
Thursday sounds good
I'll set that as the deadline. Seems reasonable enough
>>61668994
This guy feels me
>>61668780
good job
>>61668987
>>61669762
I can probably put a track together by the weekend. Work till pretty late during the week so probably wont have time before.
