I haven't heard anything bad about it aside from "I don't like the genre"
Its like you guys are in love with this album
this ones weird because i didnt like it my first few listens and then i revisited it recently and i love it
in between that gap i talked a lot of shit about that album on /mu/ and feel bad about it :^(
I can't imagine anyone outright disliking PFNO. I can understand if you're not THAT into it, but I think it really appeals on most levels.
It's just whatever to me. There's nothing that makes me think "Ugh, this is bad" or anything, but at the same time, nothing about it wowed me, or even left a memorable impression
Same. I think it's cohesive, but has a shitload of variety, has enough pop moments, but has freely flowing song structures, technical proficiency, genuine emotion, lyrical depth. Honestly it's just solid.
some filler and some mediocre songs
mount eerie is a lot better imo
some songs are just ok, but the peaks are so good
how could anyone hate these?
Someone in one of my classes was asking for music recommendations. I told him to listen to the title track and he pulled out his headphones about 5 minutes in and said "how do you listen to this?"
I haven't seen any criticism of the Mountain Goats in general on /mu/, other than memeing about how John Green likes them.
don't talk shit if you don't know shit, smash mouth is fuckin rad apart from All Star
No? Most Mountain Goats songs have nothing to do with depression and of those that do, many are vague enough that they could be legitimately interpreted as something else. And I can't think of a single TMG song that even mentions race, let alone has white guilt self-hatred whining.
its ok anon, you don't have to get upset over a post on an anonymous image board on the internet
you can go back to your safe space now
theres people that dont like radiohead at all but this album is universally liked
