>doing nofap 2016
>longest I've ever gone without fapping
>starting to notice things in music that I've never heard before
is it just a placebo? or does not fapping truly grant you a higher appreciation of music?
also music for this feel?
I kind of want to do this but I don't really know what I'd be proving to myself
I mean, I'm obviously (functionally) addicted to it as I do it most days and haven't gone more than a week without doing it since I started 10 years ago
But I don't really know what stopping would acheive. I think it's just wanting to prove I can self-restraint (which I clearly can't)
Why aren't you aiming for a more useful resolution? Like working out or helping your community. Nobody gives a shit about how often you cum from reading chinese graphic novels online.
I find it so fucking hard to even start. Sex is literally everywhere on the internet. It's like being an alcoholic that's trying to stop, but everyone is drinking alcohol instead of water. I feel way more energetic if i don't fap for a day or 2, but i'm way too addicted. It's weird because stopping actually makes me feel good, in contrary to pretty much all other addictions.
stop being idiots. there are no magic solutions to your problems. you wont be a more productive person by not fapping. you have to make yourself do things and this is always hard but life is only what you make it so stop making excuses and do something useful with your life.
also you're all probably not past mid-twenties so the sex drive you experience is the same everyone else experiences. some people fap, some have sex but we all cum at least once a week. it is no excuse.
Going against the strong urge to fap gives a lot of people confidence in their ability to stick to something hard to do. Afterwards they try harder things like an exercise routine etc.
i thinks its strange that if you have sex everyday for a week then you're a winner for these idiots but if you fap everyday for a week then you are dragging your motivation down.
i think its just that people need to find something to justify their shitty lives.
Well there's nothing wrong with fapping every day for a week, if you're fapping like 3 times every single day or more and it's getting in the way of you doing productive things THEN it's a problem
to be fair porn is pretty horrible and addictive, fapping is ok, porn is not :\ if anything maybe it should be "noporn" rather than "nofap" - that would probably help you, i dunno, not seeing women as sex objects?
As it turns out women are actually people with thoughts and feelings - funny that?!
I remember I went on a no fap for five weeks in 2014.
Shit was fucking crazy I would get so god damn horny I would sometimes put porn on and sit there with a rock hard dick. Eventually the house was just empty one day so I put on one of my favorite JAVs and blew a fat fucking load
I've jerked off practically every day since then
>Well there's nothing wrong with fapping every day for a week, if you're fapping like 3 times every single day or more and it's getting in the way of you doing productive things THEN it's a problem
If thats the case then you're allowing yourself WAY too much free time. The solution is simple if you're fapping to porn then just don't fuckin sit in front of a computer the whole day... and if you're not then w/e just don't take that long. some people shit 4 times a day and still live a regular and productive life.
I don't know, I find porn to be very distracting. Opening up multiple tabs with a porn video buffering in each one, downloading videos that aren't up for streaming, all just to finish in a couple of minutes rather, all of this when you have plenty of porn already on your computer. This is how I was and saw other people admit to doing on /b/ when I used to post there a few years back.
I get that we're talking about ejaculating at all. I just think there must be some truth to that Seinfeld episode "The Abstinence". Not getting distracted by trying to get laid and feeling content like you don't really feel the need or desire to do certain things.
It would have been really cool if George decided to pick up an instrument or compose music in that episode. Oh well.
There is nothing gay about appreciating the greatness and beauty that is the male physique at it's peak of perfection.
well considering the misogyny i see on these boards the majority of the time from bitter anime waifu virgins i thought maybe it was worth clearing up. however since you believe in the "friendzone" and non-ironically use the word "cuck" then i can tell you're probably the same.
Practicing self-restraint in the form of not masturbating is useful. Working out so you look good is not. Sure, you might want to work that core and get a better body for general health, but nobody HAS to have sick abs and wicked biceps. However you will NEVER know when self-restraint comes in handy.
>Practicing self-restraint in the form of not masturbating is useful.

no. being able to stick to a routine that requires physical activity is definitely useful. you're also counting calories, reading up of whats good for you to eat and why. does resisting beer, junk food or laying around doing nothing, not count as restraint?
Working out for general health and strength is useful in life. I didn't mention anything about looks. Giving up on ones vices is also a good way to practice self-restraint. Jerking it is healthy afaik.
I'm not really sure how going nofap improves your life. Unless you're some porn addict.
>porn & masturbation
and porn addicts are exactly who nofap is meant for
This thread is like going to an AA meeting and being like "why are you wasting your time getting sober, you should work on bettering yourself instead!"
