I find this song to be extremely thought provoking. This song is the fucking epitome of shit.
The fatass in the tophat doesn't help. Maybe you would like to see some of his artistic prowess:
I thank god for my life And for the stars and stripes May freedom forever fly, let it ring. Salute the ones who died The ones that give their lives So we don't have to sacrifice All the things we love
Like our chicken fried And cold beer on a Friday night A pair of jeans that fit just right And the radio up I love to see the sun rise See the love in my woman's eyes Feel the touch of a precious child And know a mother's love
----- It lis like a robot trying to write ingratiate itself to a human. the most inane lyrics possible.
>>61617946 the best country music is loaded with nearly universal themes - you can't relate to having your love potentially being taken by someone better looking (Jolene) or being proud of your parents and upbringing (Coal Miner's Daughter) or the interplay of whether men or women fuck up relationships (It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels) or just fucking Walking After Midnight?
Are you just baiting me with your fedora sounding writing or are you really some rich cunt thats never been able to relate to nothing, never having anything wrong or real with your life?
Yeah country music (especially now) tends to focus on nostalgia, trucks, drinking beer, being proud of being rural, etc -but that's what's important and meaningful to it's audience. if that's not for you just fuck off to whatever meaningless microgenre you're memeing on atm
>>61618136 Fedora tippings aside, I really, honestly can't relate to a lot of it. But it's got more to do with growing up with hippie german parents in an urban environment than with the music itself. You do make some good points, though, some of the non-cookie-cutter, americana-worshipping stuff is worth your while.
>>61618280 Yeah, I can see your point - I grew up suburban and didn't much care for country. Later I started to get into it, then i moved to a very rural area and worked very blue collar jobs and really really came to love it.
But I don't care who you are - someday she's gonna leave you heartbroken and you'll dig these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8mO6JVAShw
and this, even if you have never been in love - its a tear jerker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubKUP8c0FHE
I don't expect you to relate with songs about working oil rigs or getting your truck stuck in the mud the way I do, but country is a genre loaded with songs anyone, anywhere should be able to love
>>61618129 >>I feel like this is what a robot would right songs about if it were pretending to be human and trying to pretend it likes the same things as us. > >Like "I enjoy eating food and hearing music that sounds good."
