Only related pic i had atm edition
>mfw a nerd listens to "power" "metal" near me
>Hear these voices hear the cheers of choices
>There are colors following your kind
>Don't you dare forget the purple water shining
>You've been dressed in disaster and turned every brick that your head will combine
>Now why are you still trapped in mazes you designed?
what did he mean by this?
>tfw cried during that part because i couldn't handle how beautiful it is
am i officially gay now?
i think you explain it pretty well, at least in reviews
i can only explain shit on an very basic (i don't know music theory) objective level and even then it's a massive clusterfuck when i actually try to expand on that
Who else hyped for Abbath's album?
True Satanic Black Metal are bands such as Darkthrone, Aryan Satankampf, Graveland, the Gestapo 666, Satanic Warmaster, Beherit and Impaled Nazarene. You can listen to Metallica if you want, but you do not understand anything about the real Hitleric Nazi Black Metal. You are just a poser and you can fuck off the whole scene. Black Metal is real music, not intended for animals like you, but the real Satanic Misanthropists who do not care about people like you dampers.
Black Metal is music for the elite and you do not understand it. None of you understand the real Satanism. You ridiculous little kids. Our worldview is based on Wotanic Hitlerism, on a personal level satanic individualism, collective level Hitleric Fascism. Without an understanding of theoretical occultism, it is useless to dream of understanding the Wotanic worldview. None of you can understand Wotanism, for you are all intellectually earthworms. You can not reach the elite level of Satanism, so why even dream about it. Satanism and Black Metal are for the elite. For real misanthropists.
>Ritual suicide to nothing download
This is what I get
Google is pretty shit sometimes.
>I'm using Yahoo
>because I'm on firefox
In case you missed my last post
Offal stench reminds me of an early devourment clone except they're better than early devourment because you can make out the riffs https://youtu.be/EAc60O5Td04
And viscera trail from isreal
mostly if you search for obscure shit it's pretty useless, 90% of the links I get are articles about sudoku or other forms of ritualistic suicide and the rest are virus pages like those two I linked above and 2 links to another band with the same name.
Rec me death doom heavily influenced by Winter. I know burning witch and all dem similar artists. Hooded menace is ok. Coffins are pretty cool but some of their riffs get stupid by throwing in accidentals that make it weirdly major.
Isn't that pretty much just stuff like high on fire or orange goblin? Basically, sludge that is neither the misanthropic screams of heroin addicts (Eyehategod) or the prog-mixed stuff that everyone from Savannah was playing 5 years ago (Baroness or Mastodon).
Real quick, anyone have any Progressive/Experimental Blackened Metal or straight Black Metal groups like say Altar of Plagues, Deafheaven, Harp, and/or Odium? Something like Heretoir might be nice too.
I've really been getting into the genre lately, but I've realized that I don't much care for the perpetual blast beats and shrieking vocalizations. I understand that those two are a staple of the Black Metal genre, which is why I'm looking for something that's Blackened; something with that same depressive coldness, sadness and despair. Ultimately, something thats an emotional journey into the void, if that makes sense? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

A part of these isn't what you requested but you'll probably like at least some
Is Fall of Efrafa metal? Republic of Heaven is a fantastic song
you should give them another chance since they sound like exactly what you're looking for, and Matt Pike is the GOAT doom guitarist. Have you listened to their best album?
>Old School Death Metal
good chart otherwise
What 80s/90s death metal bands fall into the BDM category besides Suffocation and Internal Bleeding? Maybe Morpheus Descends? Baphomet?
Strongly needed bm with winter' samples like Paysage d'Hiver
Can remember only Forgotten woods - winter, but it is only one song
EVERYWHERE I LOOK, IT'S THE SAME OLD STORY
THE DEVIL HAS HIS CUNNING WAYS TO LURE YOU
>My first recommendation to anyone about this release: track down the Necroharmonic release Darkness of the Dead. Dan Swanö's remastering sounds okay at first, until listening back to any earlier mastering. It's basically just a boost in the low and high frequencies, which weren't really necessary. He seemed to accentuate everything like high end hissing that didn't need to be in it, and.. I kid you not... go to 2:02 of the “Exhume to Consume” live Carcass cover... you can hear a Microsoft Windows noise. He also cut short the first second of the drums in “My Ending Quest,” which just confused the hell out of me when I first heard it.

GET IT TOGETHER, SWANÖ, YOU FUCKING KEK
Anyone else been enjoying this at all?
If I like...
>Devin Townsend (DTP specifically but also ZTO and SYL)
what else would i like?
Specifically looking for that really heavy, complex, but excellently produced sound.
Now that the dust has settled, tell me your memeless opinion on this album
I love listening to Nihlity or The Negation by Decapitated. The Negation has the comfiest production.
>Three Dimensional Defect comes on
>Start zoning out and imagining that this is the kind of music fascists in sharp immaculate uniforms would march to
>Warm and fuzzy pulsing through my chest and arms
>Play it again
You aren't skipping the intros on my albums, are you /metal/?
So is this band actually satanic in any way?
this is probably the best metal chart I've ever seen, although I'd argue Pleasure to Kill is closer to brutal thrash but that's basically the same thing anyway
nope, they've denied it multiple times, they even changed their name a bunch in the 80s to avoid the stigma, Blind Fury and Pariah, those two albums are the best comeback albums I've ever heard though, I want to ask those guys how they succeeded where every other band fails
What's the best Bolt Thrower record and why is it pic related?
A few weeks ago you posted a Descend into Nothingness EP that I thought was pretty cool and I've been listening to it with some regularity since. At the time, you compared it to some other band but said Descend into Nothingness was worse. I can't for the life of me remember what the band was. Can you? It was this EP
More like this?I dont listen to metal but found this on another thread and was blown away.
Jesu - s/t
Sunn O))) and Boris - Altar
and maybe some more from pic related
This is the greatest album I've ever heard, the riffs/solos are god-tier, the singer has some of the best pipes in metal, the drumming kicks ass.
More like this? Besides Ancient Dreams and Tales of Creation by Candlemass, I mean.
Disregard NS idealogy. Or don't. Insularum is also a great album, haven't listened to the first one much yet.
Check out my entry level faggot taste. Pretty embarrassing, eh.
Rec me some fresh tech death stuff, as new as possible.
the best part is that it's certified /metal/core
On the scan it doesn't look so bad. I mean, colors are still kinda awful, but at least the name is readable.
nice brutality and the second coolest abigor release
also after revisiting both recently i gotta say like an ever flowing stream definitely >>> lhp
This EP is the definition of a cashgrab
>2 great songs that however already appeared on an album
>live version of a mediocre song
>one great track that appeared on album reissues
This is much worse
>one great track from an album
>a mediocre B-side
>live version of one of their worst songs
you have good entry-level taste senpai
+++Scratch n Sniff, Neutral Meme Hotel, Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope
+Velvet Underground, DF, Blacklodge, Grimes, DG, Scum, DA, PD
+Portishead, Invictus, Nazi Summoning
+Paradise Lost, LH, Tribulation
some tracks are pretty fun desu
Are there any bands that incorporate Indian classical and instruments like Sitars?
bit further north than that but still neat
Post-hardcore, blackened crust punk, sludgy doomy post-rock. It's as metal as atmoshit, but apparently that's a point of contention. I agree though, whatever it is, it's fucking excellent.
you can't be kvlt if you don't like bbh and that's definitely atmoshit
Is there a single band with worse last.fm shoutbox than Opeth and Porcupine Tree?
They have been 4chan's shitposting colonies for years now
420 blaze it fagets
it's a pretty cool scene even if it lets me down sometimes
Kopecky's s/t album is good instrumental prog with a sitar. I'd also check out Eloa Vadaath (mix of Ne Obliviscaris and Unexpect, no female vocals tho), Lunatic Gods' "The Wilderness", and Rudra's discography (even if I think Rudra suck)
Fornication Terrorists is probably one of the greatest deathgrind songs of all time if i'm being quite honest with you, lads
most power metal sucks so much shit. I've been wondering if Ghost counts as powermetal lately... since it kind of has that corny classic rock vide to it? Idk. I do love me some Ghost.
Daughters man. Daughters. Check out their self titled album.
That's a nice wide range of music you got there. You should check out pic related.
>waiting for nbbmn to drown yourself in the eternal cold
fucking sad bro, get with it.
I don't really know much about metal aside from a few popular bands. I was listening through some related videos on youtube and found this.
I really like the sound from 9:12 to 10:30. The rest of this band's music doesn't sound like that. Is there a subgenre that is similar to that sound?
What's the Sonic Adventures 2 soundtrack of metal?
yeah if you demonstrate complete ignorance about a genre you really aren't in the position to comment on whether or not you like it
this doesn't stop people from saying they dislike the "uncool" genres without listening to anything in them
they have a lot of metalcore influence but it depends on the album
i think i hear more nu-metal than deathcore in DSS's riffs though. they don't use tremolo or semiscale runs like a lot of deathcore bands do (with some exceptions, like the trem riff in ruten no tou), mostly just palm-muted downtuned patterns.
In addition to >>61582695, I would also recommend you listen to:
Nadja (dronegaze stuff similar to The Angelic Process)
Ascend (drone doom similar to Earth, features members of Sunn O)))
Khanate (extreme drone doom, lots of feedback)
Moss (crushing drone doom)
Münn (noisey drone doom)
Drowning Horse (really heavy drone doom)
Fall of Efrafa, Amenra, Old Man Gloom, Consciousness Removal Project, Battle of Mice, Moanaa, Downfall of Gaia, Relic Point, The Atlas Moth
The first and last track's get my dick hard.
everything else is pretty boring unfortunately.
I'm baffled as to how they made such stellar bookends and just made mediocre material between them.
Singing along to the first track is fucking awesome
There's absolutely no way. Their lyrics sound nowhere to close to those types of views.
Is someone pulling our leg?
Atmosludge bands tend to be pretty closely connected to the hardcore scene, which is a lot more leftist than most metal. It's not surprising to me. I agree with their message personally but I can see some people getting triggered (hehe) by references to the patriarchy and non-binary gender
>mfw the clean vocals come in at the end on Prelapsus
agreed, but our knowledge of neuropsychology really isn't adequate to give a clear answer right now.
honestly reading that they're influenced by His Dark Materials is awesome since i fucking loved that trilogy growing up... considering they probably sound like Fall of Efrafa and the like they probably won't be my thing, though :(
imo light bearer is a lot more post-hardcore/post-rock influenced as opposed to FoE's sludge/hardcore deal.
or as an album Lapsus is a lot closer to Fall Of Efrafa's Elil as opposed to Owsla.
When I was a casual that only listened to post-metal and stoner/sludge, I fucking loved Light Bearer and Amia Venera Landscape
anyway while i already mentioned it in >>61592286 anyone who wanted post-metal recs should give AVL a listen
