How does /mu/ feel about the most underrated band in the Seattle Four?
They're great, plain and simple. They're easily one of my top 5 favorite bands ever. I definitely think they were the best of the big 4, even though I love them all. How do you rank their albums?
>Louder Than Love
>Down on the Upside
They had several EPs and I'm not sure how I'd rank them.
Scaruffi gave Nevermind an 8/10 therefore it is objectively the best grunge album
the interesting thing about grunge is how you have 2 entirely different schools of rawk under the same genre tag just because
like melvins, nirvana, mudhoney are all punk bands while AiC, soundgarden and pearl jam are all metal/ hard rock bands
but they're all just 'grunge/ alt rock' because muh distortion, muh downtuning, muh seattle
the punk side is clearly better btw
>listening to Soundgarden
kekkity kekkity kek
besides their only decent song, Black hole sun, they are a shit band
I'd rather listen to some top tiee Alice in Chains, some actual good grunge
the reason that tag was made up is because it was something new. people didn't know how to describe it. early melvins, that is everything they did in the 80s, is literally the sound of a punk band trying to play metal songs
i'm talking about ten exclusively of course because that's the only relevant album from them - i don't know how they sounded after that and it doesn't make any difference. ten is the sound of pearl jam
and it is literally the 'muh zeppelin' of the grunge scene
