We always talk about which genre has the worst fans.

But what genre has the best fans?

My vote goes towards Ambient.

Yeah, unless they are like this
>>
The masses are asses. People are shit.

The genre with the fewest fans will consequently have the best fans.

Harsh Noise

Everyone wants to kill each other, but it's fine, because that's how you express friendship.
>>
All genres of music have their shit fans, all genres of music have their good fans.

I'd throw my vote in for industrial (not counting like Marylin Manson shit ofc)

>>61546334
I've never really gotten into ambient, so I've always been confused by what backpack ambient meant, I know what backpacker hip hop is, but I don't get what it means here.
>>
>>61546541

That's because noise is for autists that have never had friends before.
>>
>>61546541
Noise has a pretty decent fan base, but there's a lot of pretentious idiots there as well
>>
>>61546560
From what I understand its like music for going on hikes or backpacking through places.
>>
>>61546541
>>61546588
Neither of you never had any real contact with noise fans, have you?
>>
>>61546605
So why is that an insult?
>>
>>61546605

Didn't Eno say that Ambient was meant to be both listened to and ignored?
>>
>>61546608

My man, I do sound for the Church on York.
>>
>>61546608
My experience with harsh noise fans are
>P4K drones who pretend to like Merzbow too much
>Neo-nazis who drifted a little too far from power electronics
>Japanese people
>Legit autists
>>
pop punk
>>
>>61546656
I don't know. I never got why backpacker hip hop was an insult either so Idk.
>>
Am I the only one who prefers long hair Eno over bald Eno?

This

Metalheads
>>
>>61546605
Pretty sure it's meant in the same way people use backpacker with hip-hop
>>
>>61546313
memerap fans

when they're discussing any other genre they talk like normal people then go into a hip hop thread and it's ebonics up the ass
>>
Blues. Often humble, self-deprecating, seem to really be passionate about it in a pure way.
>>
Indisputably neofolk / martial industrial

This picture cracks me up, BUT...

the artists listed as 'real man's ambient' (lmao) are legit way better. no idea what the hell is meant by 'backpambient', but I will say this much- people i know in real life who dig music and are peripherally interested in ambient tend to avoid roach, TG, pinhas etc. even when i recc it to them because its not really fashionable to like. you get what i mean? it's too old plus it's associated with prog or new age. maybe certain fans of the genre just get upset that newer, more derivative artists with a trendier aesthetic get more praise while the cream of the crop is comparatively unknown...

either way, i would be shocked if anyone on the board has ever actually met someone in real life that resembles this comic.

I was going to say drone, but on second thought I'd agree with this
