I love Twin Fantasy but even I can say, it only resonates with me because I'm gay. Its not particularly interesting, and I can't see the feels hitting unless you've explored your sexuality before.

I enjoy listening to it, but I don't think I can say its a good album.

I like Hospice but its not really a great album.

Kettering, Atrophy, and Bear are really good songs but the others lyrically sorta miss the mark. I wish the album followed more of what they did with Sylvia (An Introduction) off of the EP prior to Hospice.

That song came from a really interesting and heartbreaking perspective. That sort of song writing is exactly why Kettering and Atrophy are also good songs.

Overall its like a 6/10. Its good but overrated beyond belief.

In The Attic of the Universe and Burst Apart are both better lyrically at least.

Thematically it hit pretty close to home for me and he employed a lot of the kinds of lo-fi production that I always incorporated into my music, so while I'm pretty ambivalent on a lot of the tracks there are quite a few that I have a weirdly intimate perspective on.

How To Leave Town is a genuinely good album though. I think his biggest problem is that his shit goes for way too long, like who releases something with 10 tracks that goes for over an hour and calls it an EP?

Best: Downward Spiral (among other tertiary /mu/core)

Pretty simple - the more it's brought up in the context of an argument, the shittier it is - i.e. Nail thread made only to comment about how Hole or Ache is better and how stupid everyone is, or an Amnesiac vs. Kid A thread made only to...well whatever, you get it. The less it's brought up in a contentious manner, the better (it's 4chan so inherently, less threads then) it is. If it's still brought up at a decent frequency with threads that contain little to no arguing, it's great. If those threads yield recommendations, it's even greater. This tends to be accurate in my experience.

ITAOTS is an anomaly. It is not an album. It's effectively a meme. Drum or potato? W/e - it's our Beatles - we all know the songs, may not all like them, but we accept them as culture.
