ITT: songs that sound/feel like falling in love
>Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
you're forgetting medillia of the grey skies, stand inside your love, real love, innocence, let me give the world to you, try try try, wound, home, thats the way, inkless, once upon a time, and blank page.
Also, while zeitgeist was pretty bad (it has a few good songs), oceania and monuments are actually very good.

Wow that's not try hard at all

Never been in love, I'm too dead inside for that. Anyway, I image Smashing Pumpkins' "Mayonaise" would be pretty close to that, not the one you picked. Are you still in high school?
>i love inkless and once upon a time and cant see how anyone would dislike them
They are not as good songs as others.
the rest i can understand except i think medillia >is a 10/10 for a love song
it's b-side tier
Op here, first year uni. 1979 would have to take the cake for me because that first riff just takes me back to so long ago. It basically just wins because I'm blinded by the nostalgia goggles
Well taken OP, I kept on listening to SP for the first years of college too, though I mainly associate them with high school as that's when their albums came out and I first heard them --yes, I'm an old fart.
Now, seriously, these two sound like "being in love" to me.
Thanks for the recs, sound like what I was looking for.
>tfw brackets around in love :(
Yeah I love all their songs was just mentioning my absolute favourite. Oceania and monuments were decent in the first 5 listens, but don't have as near as much replay value. Siamese dream, machina, adore, Gish and Mellon collie have aged quite gracefully, and are just generally better albums in my opinion.
Oh, I agree completely. But, to say that oceania and monuments are outright bad, like most people do, is idiotic becasue they still have some good music on them. Are they as good as siamese dream? no, but still decent in their own right.
this one's better
Every song you hear on that album is just the rough mixes. They just took the rough mixes and pressed some copies. I doubt they paid anyone who knew what they were doing to master it properly.
So if it's bothering you, seek out the Virgin rip of the album. It's the most dynamic master.
