This has recently become a strong favourite. Genres vary all over the place from funky breaks to funky hiphop to electropop to DnB, and almost all the tracks are great.

The Afronaught and Neon Phusion albums are very solid.
>There is no difference
I see you're not very well versed with the terminology.
Future Jazz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7G-ouCgg58
Nu Jazz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69NHutGwwbg
Future jazz is the incorporation of jazz harmony and composition into electronic music production, typically house or techno, one of the first modern examples who pioneered it was Galaxy 2 Galaxy. Nu jazz is largely sample and breakbeat based music i.e. revolving aroun sampling jazz records and breakbeats and generally is rooted in pop music song structures.
Well RYM is fucking garbage man.
For what exactly?
I wouldn't consider it ambient techno. It's not too far from it either though. Their variety is more in line with the IDM/glitch genres fused with techno and some ambient passages. Some of the tracks are quite mellow but overall the album hardly has an ambient feel to it.
I agree, but ambient techno is bit of a different field. I think it's mostly about finding the balance between the "ambient" element an the rhythm intrinsic to techno.
Daptone Records - The World of Daptone Records is nice
Ok, I'm just trying to figure out the difference between the genres. Is it the beats per minute that's the dif between Amb-house and others?
I really need to up my musical terminology knowledge down. Lol
Does this count as its a gorgeous album.
Afternoons In Stereo is GOAT
I guess we just need to need posting this thread. Look at how /bleep/ was at the beginning! And /trad/! Just keep persevering, people will come eventually, or a least be curious enough to venture into the thread to see what it's all about.
Taking a long shot since I don't usually come to /mu/ and know nothing about genres, anybody have recs related to whatever this sound is called?
I know Yuzo Koshiro (who composed the soundtrack) is a DJ who was inspired by popular music at the time, and I'd love to find more like it.
