great movie, one of the best of the decade
pic related, GOAT (literally the greatest of all time) score but the movie isnt that good
>I need drugs to enjoy or comprehend a movie
Also, check these quints
you didn't like that movie? I loved it. It was a movie about what would happen to you if God started talking to you in your head - you'd think you were fucking crazy. I thought the relationship between Jesus and Judas was great, too. Reminds me of a Borges story I read that said Judas was really God, not Jesus. If God wanted to send himself to earth and punish himself, why would he be Jesus who gets to be famous and loved forever after? He would be Judas, and die in shame and secret honor for eternity
Oh, and I thought the music was whack as shit. It's got that new-age world-music 80's vibe to it and sounds almost dated
Under the Skin. Should have won the BAFTA tbh
i don't watch movies that often, but kids is a good movie with a good soundtrack. gummo is a good movie too, but i can't really remember the music from that.
I like it. I appreciated it's "message" that we are all part of an interconnected stream, but that what is downstream and upstream is often hidden from us. So here we are, two people who fall in love for reasons they don't know (does anyone, really?), fighting a battle for their lives against something they can't even see with their own eyes
plus, the music is great
Damn. Not even ironically, damn.
this and Gladiator takes the cake
cool, enjoy. My only advice is don't treat it like a puzzle and try to "get it". It's really easily summed up, Just look up the filmmaker's little explanation first. I don't think he wanted the movie to be mysterious or twisty, it's not like Memento
These posts were epic. Thanks guys!
I thought it was a new Carruth film there for a second and I was excited. But then I was dissapointed.
It reminds me of his other stuff though - like a seirous adult in an E.T.-spielberg movie
