So here I have a question for you guys
When Jenny Death will finally come out (if it ever comes out but it seems pretty close now), will you keep both parts separated or put them together as "The Powers That B" with this cover ?
i've started to think notm is the best DG release
i would obsessively defend the first three as the best on here (still think GP is bad) but i've been listening to notm a lot and now it's at least their equal in my mind
I agree. GP is my least favorite DG album. Although some people love it.
Some people just like Death Grips for different reasons. I like the loud, punk influenced sound on Exmilitary, but some people prefer the production on Government Plates.
numba one, thas yo opinion
numba tu, NOTM is not human brother. what happens in my brain during big dipper, billy not really, up my sleeves. its not human brother. money store is remarkable and hella dope but tis human, brother.
numba three, go relisten to notm brother. its some other shit brother. i mean it.
HURRAAAHHEEUUR GILLATEEN!!!! #noided
>it is kind of a flatty solo record.
There are drum lines on GP. Zach is the drummer. Zach has mentioned that they use his live drum takes as the basis for the tracks (http://www.moderndrummer.com/site/2012/03/zach-hills-death-grips-drum-cam/). Why do DG fans constantly erase his contribution to the music?
yeah dude i hated notm at first, it really took me a while but now i'm obsessed with it
at first it just sounded kind of cluttered and silly to me and i really couldn't get into it, i thought the 'wackiness' was kind of retarded and didn't bother listening in that much depth, but i'm glad i perservered
Yeah I know that there is a fair bit of Zach on GP, But you hear flatty's influence more than anything else. I love Zach and i think he is super important to the group, i don't try to erase his contribution
the band has it as a double album for a reason. this shouldnt be a question and says something about you that you had to ask it, and even more about the people answering saying they're going to separate the two disks.
you make me feel literally ill
Why are you so obsessed with ideological purity about album organisation you utter twat. There's nothing stopping you from listening to both sides together even if you save them as separate albums in your library.
I'll make both versions. When I wanna play Jenny Death, I'll play Jenny Death as an album in my library called Jenny Death, same goes with Niggas On The Moon. When I wanna play the whole album, I'll play the album called The Powers That B.
What you're experiencing is the Death Grips effect. You hate it first cause it sounds like shit, but after time something happens and you end up being what science calls "noided". i hated Ex the first time i heard it. thought it was utter trash. now i love Ex. NOTM is my favorite though.
second hardest of all time imo, but i think the one the disease one is kind of death grips in a nut shell, and says the most with saying the least, similar to "take my life like i kept it"
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
>recognize who you are
>realize jenny death when
>where that full moon tho
>you'll cowards dont even smoke crack
