It wasn't bad, but nothing I listened to jumped out at me.

sure but the last post on the other thread was from 13:01:29. so, considering this thread was created at 12:22:49 it's safe to say the other BC thread was either dead or dying.
There's only a small percentage of new people who post their stuff, the rest is just a continuous self-wank from one thread to the next.
How long can one wank themselves off without feeling like a huge piece of shit?
Hey everyone the first 2 compilations are up for "NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL /MU/SIC" /mu/ compilation!!

If you didn't still might want to check it out!

Here's a couple mini reviews
Just finished listening to this in whole. I think this is a pretty well done release. I like that the guitar tones are really fuzzy, the first track gives me imagery of a prison break in a prison somewhere very secluded in some woods very early in the morning. I've been a fan of your stuff for a while. I think the china symbols on the first track are kinda annoying, but that's just a personal musical turn off of mine. I love your use of sampling as well.
I wasn't a huge fan of the 4th track, just cause it felt like it looped for two long without any dynamics. The closer felt very inspired by post-rock, or maybe a more atmospheric Russian Circles. I think the opener and closer were my favorites on this album, however I did really enjoy the eerie ambience of tracks two and three. If I had to rate it, despite the little things I wasn't too keen on, still would give this an 8/10. Good job.
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the second track quite a bit. Great musicianship going on, but it doesn't seem very innovative. I like the crisp drum sounds as well. I loved the groove the second track ended on quite a bit too.
Another thing that stood out to me was the dynamics in the rhythm on the third track, especially around the middle to the end. I like that you all have good chemistry with each other as a band. Seemed very "jammy" I guess.
I'll probably listen to this more in depth in the future, but it's certainly enjoyable.
>one man atmospheric/lo fi black metal
Just listened to this in full, and I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this was. Generally I haven't been a big fan of the black metal stuff which has shown up on bandcamp lately. I loved enjoyed the first track, but the second track genuinely blew me away. I love the drums, and how dynamic the rhythms and grooves were on them (I am a drummer myself). I am pretty sure they are live? If not, props to you on pulling that off with electronics. I think you created a massive tension on the second track. I was surprised at how much you were able to build it up in it's runtime. I also think with a little more messing with the EQ and production and such, you could do a lot better making it sound less lo-fi, if that makes any sense. I enjoyed how you fit the vocals in the mix as well. The reverb you put on them sounds like ACTUAL reverb from a large room, which is something hard to find in a lot of releases today. Anyways, good job, I enjoyed this.
Thanks a lot, really glad to hear you like it. The drums actually are programmed, but I put a lot of effort into making them sound natural and creating interesting nuances in the patterns. The tension was a big part of the second track so I'm glad that worked well too. I kept the lo fi sound as an aesthetic choice, since I tend to prefer my black metal that way and with my diy approach it makes everything come together a little more naturally. But I might change it up more on future releases.
i really enjoyed that first track. those vocals were almost surprisingly good. keep it up!
listened to Become. the production is on point. the lyrics are sexual and creepy. i almost wished it went somewhere else later on, but it's still really good.
you're a man after my own heart it seems. i really like Day Haze. would love to do a split or something with you.
the new EP is gripping... it's good. really good.
