Catcore edition.

What is the superior catcore album?
>>53538436
shoe gaze isnt just an aesthetic
Its a life style of both the body and the mind
people who cant distinguish shoegaze, dream pop and psychedelia make me sick
I've sacrificed love and friendship in my pursuit of knowledge and understanding of these genres and if these genres were offered as courses at a college institution then I would be a PhD
>>53538471
Good, then you can help me with the flowchart I'm gonna throw together eventually.
>>53538471
is that cat even shoegaze related

>tfw no qt mellow depressed shoegaze+noise gf to cuddle and hum Earthmover to
>>53540064
Nefi + Girly is about cats too.
best new shoegaze?
>>53539428
I'm friends with a guy in that band. Or he was at least...
>>53540096
where's the cat ?
>>53540183
>>53539428
Oh and I met that cat in real life. His name is Chinta.
There's a cat in this.
talk about methodrone
>>53540494
did they fuck?
>>53541582
Probably
More essentials?
>>53542199
Try shoegaze from Japan.
Also, what did you like from the chart? What didn't you care for?
>>53542261
I generally prefered the pre-revival stuff. The later felt pretty unoriginal.
>>53542280
The Japanese stuff you will probably like. I genuinely think that they are progressing the genre.
Try Oeil, Kinoko Teikoku, Paint In Watercolour, Cyruff In The Bedroom, Tokyo Shoegazer, and Dive. There's actually a Youtube page dedicated to Japanese Shoegaze.
seriously didn't know cats were a significance in shoegawking
>>53542375
Already listened to Tokyo Shoegazer - Crystallize, it's okay.
>>53542437
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of them, but a lot of people are, that's why I mentioned them. The other bands are great though. Actually Paint In Watercolour was around in the late 80s/early 90s during the original gaze boom.
Also, did you like Have A Nice Life?
>>53542543
Yeah, Have a Nice Life is probably my favorite of the shoegaze revival stuff, but I don't think it feels that much like shoegaze.
Checking out this right now.
I FEEL IT
>>53543292
How does this compare to Hidden Lands?
What's some more psychedelic and/or jammy shoegaze like pic related?
>>53539428
>Rat
>Not Cat
>>53544823
huh
>>53540067
believe me, having a depressed gf is a waking nightmare for the both of you
>>53540096
I liked it, although they really go hard in the 'referencing other bands' thing
Listening to this now, holy shit.
What should I check out by Pinkshinyultrablast?
>>53538442
Both are good albums, but Chapterhouse's Whirlpool is one of the greatest shoegaze albums of all time.
>>53543292
I fucking love that album. I was meh at first, but it grew on me over time, and now it's one of my all time favorites.
>>53543484
Personally, I think it's more cohesive as an album, which makes sense because it's a concept album.
I'm just getting nervous with their new album. The first two singles are remarkably meh.
>>53548064
their new album
what did everyone think of this? probably more dream pop but still fits in this thread I'd say
A pretty good EP released about 15 years ago. Doesn't get much mention here.
>>53548170
Also this EP from last year, which never really got a lot of attention around these parts.
>>53543654
Kairon; IRSE!
Catherine Wheel also have some phenomenal guitar playing
