Just a reminder that /mu/ and 4chan in general is moderated by SJW and Feminist scums.
Enjoy your stay.

whether you agree or not, you should be able to criticize anything related to the topic of the board. including blacks, females, jews, whites, asians, muslims, whatever. why undermine free speech in any topic when the rest of the internet already offers plenty of choices in "moderated" discussion?
>anything related to the topic of the board
Free speech gets misunderstood and abused so much. You can say whatever you want but you have no right to the medium in which you want to express yourself. 4chan does not have to allow you to post on the basis of free speech. It can moderate you however it wishes while you use it to communicate.
i dont know, i cant see the post he was replying to, and it seemed fairly on-topic given that the thread was about "good black composers" or something similar. not very different from your "RADIOHEAD SUCKS YOU DRONE" in threads about radiohead. besides, i was replying to the ones actually embracing a controlled environment (aka censoring subjects and words you are not comfortable with) in a place like 4chan.
can you name black composers with the same influence of beethoven or mozart?
Don't give a shit about OP's whining, but It'd be nice if they bothered to moderate the rest of the board.
It's drowning in shitposting, rec threads, blogging, waifufaggotry, trolls and reposts.
would you rather push for a more moderated website then? you know this, like any other website on the internet, is a service for the userbase. this place is used by millions of users everyday, finding solace in a environment very hard to find in the whole internet (with this significance, at least). while it's true that it really is up to the owners to make the calls, i don't think any owner would want to alienate his userbase.
It was actually a /classical/ thread. And you'll notice the post in OP is comparing not the works of black composers to those of white composers, but just white and black people. That isn't music.
Scott Joplin comes to mind, to answer your question. Should be noted that almost all western art music was composed by white people because of the area it comes from. Name one good white raga or gamelan composer.
>Ignoring the plethora of jazz musicians like Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane etc who composed and played at a incredibly high level.
I think I'm done here.
>i don't think any owner would want to alienate his userbase.
Pro-tip most of us don't care about this type of shit. That's why we stayed here and not go over to degenr8-chan.
Yeah I have no problem saying or writing nigger, but it's more for edgy reasons, than any actual racism.
Waifu threads were deleted for a while, there seem to be different janitors with different approaches to them.
Kpop is probably left alone because noone wants to deal with the autism that would spill forth if it was deleted.
For a second I thought I accidentally clicked on /v/.
it was not a loaded question, dumbass. and i think we all knew, from the other replies i got, we were talking about classical (or western art music, wtv) composers. i'm ignorant when it comes to that, that doesn't mean i don't know babbies first jazz artists.
No, it's discussing race. The works of those composers are acceptable discussion. People talk about eastern and western music based on how it sounds and its composition, not based on who made it.
>People talk about eastern and western music based on how it sounds and its composition, not based on who made it.
People, for example, turn countries into rivals (USA VS UK is a more than common example)
Its the same thing with races, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, yeah sure, like the countries discussion, its probable someone will say bullshit and other someone will get butthurt, but people have to deal with that.
Half of it was GETfaggotry and shitposting about colonialism before music was even brought up, and it derailed the thread pretty hard.
People probably reported it and it got deleted.
/mu/ is the tumblr of 4chan.
I'm this surprised.
None of that is music though.
>I can name more artists from this place
>most of those artists are objectively bad
It's terrible discussion, and I mean discussion loosely.
If you want to talk about that shit >>>/int/
