Is there a way to record ONLY the wet signal?

Say, I run a sample through a bunch of filters, and I am only interested on the after FX sound (minus the original sample sound in the "back"). Is there a way to record this?

not sure if you could record just the wet signal but what you could do is render out the post-fx audio and overlay the dry audio on top of it then invert the waveform on one of them to cancel the dry signal completely out of both versions

did you get an acapella or extract the vocals? cause alot of the songs i want to mess around with have no acepellas and the tutorials with audacity fuckin blow

it's a pretty common technique that's usually used to turn songs with vocals in them into just instrumentals.

one thing you should keep in mind when trying it is that the volume of whatever you're trying to cancel out has to be exactly the same in both versions or else it won't work so don't change the volume on the track with the effects on it without changing the dry one to match.

Liked Renoise, might buy it. Might buy ableton in august with student discount using spare grant money. Not sure. Must learn piano first.

So I bought that alesis micron for 50 bucks and surprise! No sound out of the outputs. This wouldn't be so bad if the main preset knob wasn't torn off and was literally unable to turn without a pair of pliars.

I opened it up and didn't really see anything wrong with it, I tried a bunch of different things and in the end I was able to get sound for only a second after I turn on the power and then it craps out. I read that other people have similar issues and I should just replace the fets? This will be my 2nd time doing something like this.. Glad I only spent 50 bucks
