Anyone has ever heard about Celeste? It's a french hardcore/screamo/black metal band. Their only purpose is to do the most violent and nihilistic music. That's deliberately over the top.

Their lyrics are in french but I strongly recommend to search for a translation. It's about nihilism, misanthropy, losing hope and so on. The artwork says it all.

Isn't most music nihilistic. I mean, existentialism, to me, is a means to address nihilism. Most music is a result of the maker trying to create meaning in a meaningless universe. You don't have to listen to fucking black metal for nihilistic art, something as introspective as, say, Bright Eyes can be nihilistic because Oberst's lyrics focus inwards on the only thing he knows to be true- his feelings.

I was raised by nihilists and am one myself, and my family's never listened to special music. Tho, I do think that some noise, due to how selfish it is, espouses the philosophy p well. Screaming about anal shit rape over a bunch of guitar pedals just seems like silly bandwaggoning tho.

Aside from the fact that you type l8ke an idiot, how is most art not nihilistic? I don't think projecting your own meaning onto the universe is at odds with nihilism because we're human and it's perfectly normal to try to create reason in an existence which is literally nothing but mechanical cause and effect going back to the Big Bang and more. A guy wearing corpse paint and screaming about nothingness is still creating meaning in the universe for himself. The only sense I can make of this world is whatever I find in myself, and I like Ace of Bass.
