Have we talked about this yet? Orchestrated Rhubarb got uploaded.
If it was a soundtrack it would be soundtrack music, but with no other context then it is classically arranged at the very least. Most people upon hearing this would assume it was modern classical.
Here you go
oh man that's gonna be tahnaiya russell - scirem right? cuz IIRC that was a vibert remix from a contest?
nooo.... wtf this is something new entirely! and it's from that competition i'm talking about.... wtf thx 4 the heads up anon
This new track is beautiful, not what I'd expect at all! Maybe this means there'll still be more?? He seems to have acknowledged fully that we know it's him and we want more music judging by his SC description.
hey guys in one of yesterday's aphex threads people were talking about their favorite early 2000s napster aphex twin fakes, and i asked if anyone knew about "bootsy collins is a gaylord" which it turns out i fucked up because it's "bootsy peppers is a gaylord"
if this is (most likely) someone doing an aphex twin impersonation then they have a fucking awesome aphex twin impersonation as evidenced by track #7 "fudge fiddling in summer bay" --- i also think track #2 "alone again with little jarry" is a proper fucking roller.
so in the wake of all of this legit musical genius diaherrea, is this odd thing i found on soulseek over the last year or two having any chance of I WANT TO BELIEVE [APHEX BLIMP] or am i just a crazy idiot? cuz man this one got me to check it out on the album name alone, and i fancied a couple of the bangers but never thought about it... but now in the wake of this happening here.... who knows.
here it is on zippyshare for you >> http://www71.zippyshare.com/v/cjV9a5o2/file.html
so plz let me know if anyone thinks there's a chance this could be semi/authentic.... cuz at the very least whoever made it knows how to make music (and i reckon they do it for a living) and they know how to make an aphex twin song. or a bunch.
yeah that's what i was saying dude. i always thought that tahnaiya russell - scirem was the track he entered in that vibert remix competition to win by default.... but now there's this new one that came up so i guess i must have been mishmashing legends/stories together in my head.
but yeah if you have any idea on what that bootsy peppers thing is help a brother out!
huh? like i said this bootsy peppers thing is just something i stumbled across and it's noteworthy cuz it's "quite good" unlike most bullshit slagged off as aphex twin stuff on napster/audiogalaxy/slsk.
its like whoever made this is good enough at making music to make something this involved and not ostensibly seek any recognition for it because they wanna say LOL ITS APHEX TWIN. and that track #7 fudge fiddling in summer bay.... if that's an aphex twin impersonation i hope the guy at least plays local suburban town-festivals as an aphex twin cover band.
speaking of stuff like that, here's an analord-era banger that's amassed a whole 600+ views on myspace over the last 4+ years! this is from some weblabel that had an EP where all the artists made a song attributed to somebody else on the compilation's name, and the original mp3 boasts "I CANT BELIEVE ITS NOT DUBSTEP" >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB8OvNooN5c
did richard make it? who knows. does it matter? not really cuz this track is worth a listen regardless. and the pumps and a bump remix on youtube is nice too (tho i'm a sucker for the rich uncle skeleton star prototype remix cheese)
but yeah, all above my paygrade here. especially in a sea of experts who can tell me >>53256538 cuz i was only just there to grab it right when it came out, i didnt know the technicalities about it.
kind of like that joyrex tape... i actually had a CD of those songs mailed to me in the mid-00s so hearing 16. fresher cleaner was like AHA! ITS NOT SAYING PUSH-N-TEAR. now i can read a pastebin file and it knows everything i dont! swell!
i'm actually not richard, but hey there's a small chance i might have a beat from him. really doubt it unless you think that gaysex twin = aphex twin.
my fave gaysex twin track = https://archive.org/download/RogerDancemore-roger/09-tv-star-LOFI.mp3
(from https://archive.org/details/RogerDancemore-roger if anyone cares)
>inb4 my internet connection dies from disseminating too much crappy information
oh yeah gaysex twin definitely has the logo down beyond that thing where you can tilt your head to the left and the aphex 7\ logo looks like a guy sitting there with a huge erection.
By the way, completely off-topic, but I was just reading somewhere a couple mins ago (can't seem to remember where though) about some Analord bonus tracks. Are these: [https://rareafx.wordpress.com/albums-singles/afx-analord-side-c-tracks/] the only bonus tracks or were they maybe referring to other ones?
weren't a lot of those eventually outed to be thidiot/LUDD/etc? dude's "quite good" and goes back in the day with all of us but i seem to remember him being attached to a lot of the tussticles/type stuff.
i wanna say there was maybe one or two cuts that had me "hmmm" but the rest was a rather fun romp of pisstakery. i have no idea what the bootsy peppers thing is all about so i was hoping someone here would, and from there i'm unloading some of the "maybe?" stuff i've discovered over teh years and enjoyed the hell out of, no matter who formally made it.
are you talking about the "bonus" analord tracks that went up on rephlex a few years ago for digital download/purchase/etc that had alternate versions of that good one off of analord 11 and a few other remixes along with a batch of new-to-us stuff?
cuz in terms of "analord bonus tracks" i tend to go right to the rephlex.com tracks that went up when they started slanging digital downloads of the analord stuff and then there were like ~20/+ new-to-us tracks to wet your whistle.
isnt one li
ANALORD ‘SIDE C’ TRACKS
Release date: 2009
Upon the relaunch of the Rephlex Website in 2009, bonus tracks were added to the Analord series, as downloadable digital format only. All releases except Analord 10 gained additional tracks.
yeap, that's exactly what i was talking about then. so yeah they're not "new" to the cutting edge of aphex twin obsession/fandom/etc, but if you haven't kept an ear to the digital ground for awhile i reckon they very well could be new-to-you.
I wonder if RDJ might still upload stuff every now and then when he discovers old miscellaneous tracks. He said in a recent-ish interview he tends to forget about some of the stuff he's done.
yeah i hear you over here on the lunatic fringe of aphex twin superfandom. i got legitimately buried in this stuff and have had a dickens of a time keeping it together with the mp3s/tagging/archiving/etc.
i just can't get anyone to give me any thoughts on the bootsy peppers thing cuz that one's got me ??? cuz i have no idea who the fuck it is or where the fuck it came from, other than the fact i got the mp3s off of somebody's slsk last year and it had the album attributed to "aphex twin" with the album name and an image in there.
and whoever did that stuff is "quite good." and like.... who knows man? as i've been hinting at i think the guy's gotten off to anonymous/ish music on the internet for awhile (see: steinvord. i mean i assume you lot were all up on steinvord when that came out, right?)
>bootsy collins is a gaylord
btw you should alsolisten to it reversed..
no, our guy "1B" is forever stalled on the road to 500. he's very still alive though and i might be able to help you to track him down... but with whom do i have the pleasure of talking with?
hmmm how can i say this without giving it away? i'm from his era.... first generation television for women. most of you cunts prolly didnt like me too much cuz i was the TLDR king of the joint, once voted XLT's poser of the month. but i think four letters gave me away.
something about kicking [harky]'s ass to another dimension? ring a bell?
>***hello humans, hopefully im gunna start making all these tracks downloadable from 6pm next saturday 7th Feb, [if i can find some internets]
That wasn't me. I'm just calling you out for being rude.
You can't bully the unbullyable
Glad you like it. I have more if you're interested.
>tracks are downloadable over a week before he originally said he'd make them available
Based Rich keeps on delivering.
