This is the face of a nation that thinks it's superior to molly poppin americans.
>>
>>53060450
>face of a nation
even at their peak (10+ years ago) chavs were still only like 1% of the population
>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoAATtUmvUs&spfreload=10

What do you think about disco revival in clubs lads?
>>
>>53060484
>dumb youngsters and teenagers were only 1% of the population
By this logic the UK would have gone extinct by now.
>>
>>53060513
was that like 4 years ago?
>>
>>53060515
yeah because chavs were all of the young people. glad you understood what i was saying
>>
>>53060513
happy for more disco tbh. got pleb friends who like it so would mean i could go crazy @ the club with them more often

not really in the mood for it most of the but when i am it's good fun.
>>
>>53060450
everyone in here from the uk is probably middle/upper-middle class. like the rest of 4chan
>>
>>53060536
>upper-middle class

definitely not lol. very few here are probably actual middle class... most likely low middle class or high-end working class to be honest
>>
>>53060551

Hi /bleep/. I very much enjoyed Bcd-2 by basic channel and inversion by Cyrus, and I'm looking for more experimental techno or electronic down that vein. If you can rec me anything, I'd appreciate it.

guys why is beatport so freakin expensive
>>
Anyone got some tech-house classics?
Looking for new stuff to mix
>>
Hardware question;
Is it worth getting a relatively cheap one channel amp like this one:
Dayton Audio DTA-120 Class T Digital Mini Amplifier 60 WPC
If I still use my shitty computer soundcard as input?
What is the chokepoint (if you don't want to spend a lot of money) amp or soundcard?
>>
>>53061698

T-Amps are meant to be used with fairly sensitive speakers, and they are for near-field listening

In layman's terms that means they require speakers that get "loud" without cranking up the volume all the way up, because harmonic distortion happens real easy if you have to turn up the amp volume more than ~80-85%. It also means you won't be able to crank it to the level of a house party without getting horrible distortion hence the "near field listening"

Onboard sound it's always shit. Even a cheap Behringer UCA202 will make a difference
>>
>>53060631
pretty much everybody these days is far from /bleep/ culture honestly, how many really weirdly dressed gay guys do you see on a night out?
>>
>>53061750
Thats the American house scene in the 1980s, far from the /bleep/ culture
>>
>>53061335
>using beatport
if you're not using the service the label offers (bandcamp) check hardwax/clone/juno but beatport is just way too expensive
>>
>>53061778
/bleep/ culture was not widely accepted in the early 90s in the UK as well, was still an image you did not want to have, it was an outsider movement until later in the 90s

long story short, the core of bleep is about forgetting problems and these days is more about celebrating which is the exact opposite
>>
>>53061782
never heard of any of those. Beatport is expensive because they try to give artists fair shares but take off the top, right?
>>
>>53061819
people who frequent bleep must be the core of rave culture then
>>
>>53061819
>/bleep/ culture was not widely accepted in the early 90s in the UK as well, was still an image you did not want to have, it was an outsider movement until later in the 90s

erm, not true m8, even my old dear liked Fatboy Slim and Acen
>>
>>53061778
>far from the /bleep/ culture
lol

thanks for the reminder that /bleep/ =/= club general and that /bleep/ = chav general
>>
>>53061868
fatboy didn't come to be until the mid 90's
>>
>>53061912
Alright, Norman in his various guises, Acen did though, she liked The Prodigy too. Leaving my mother out of this, there was still no animosity towards the rave culture outside of The Daily Mail and people stuck on the geetah.
>>
>>53061949
people who didn't care about music in general saw ravists as punkish hippie degenerates back then though

idk if you can call that acceptance
>>
>>53061974
>people who didn't care about music in general saw ravists as punkish hippie degenerates back then though

people who don't care about music in general see every underground music scene as punkish hippie degenerates.
>>
>>53061985

see: Criminal Justice Act
>>
>>53061861
definitely not, artists only get like 10% from beatport if it's not less lol
>>
>>53062041
True, but thats just the government being twats, it wasn't as if 3 years later they made a u-turn and said actually, lets have raves after all and now its all fun and games.
>>
>>53061974
>>53061985
yeah and the preppy guys from these days who are running our business jobs in 5-10 years are guys who do go clubbing now but did not back then, that's kind of the difference I implied
>>
>>53062041
>these old cunts propose a law which forbids us from blasting music at full volume and organizing illegal venues
>let's protest by blasting music at full volume and organizing even more illegal venues!
gg uk

big up to Autechre, Orbital and the few other acts for actually being creative with their criticism though
