i'm almost certain harsh noise pop exists but i can't think of any. just seems like something that would.
some of hijokaidan's stuff comes *kind of* close but i don,t think it's really poppy enough to count. check out the live at akihabara goodman and hatsune-kaidan albums (both are in the archive). think that had a couple others that went in a jazz-pop direction/used vocaloid and jpop-style stuff but i can't think of the titles right now.
i feel like some of hanl's stuff kinda counts? bloodhail felt kinda pop-punky to me and i think post-pop punk would sound kinda similar. also one of my dream genres.
some of ...and you will know us by the trail of dead's stuff could maybe be considered art pop punk? i'm definitely reaching though
i feel like some of god is my co-pilot's stuff could qualify? maybe not as crusty as you're hoping though
hgi-9884 by and they say is apparently a concept album about the death of a star or something. dark ambient/noise. i'm not that into it tbh but you might dig it. some of lustmord's stuff coud maybe fall into that too?
