I think this needs a real hard hook a bit earlier. Also, that beat needs to be at least 1000% tighter and not feel so lazy. Could be Madvillain level feels if you tweak it.

This could definitely benefit from a proper recording. As far as musical feedback, the note that was at the top of almost every chord you were playing got really overbearing and tiring, like listening to someone sing the same note for a whole song, if that makes sense.

I've been seeing a lot more "experimental" stuff as of late, but that's not necessarily a bad thing...
Though with some of these so-called "experimental" producers, I get the impression that the term is being used as a crutch for lack of experience, but maybe I'm way off base.......

Half the problem is your vocals are buried deep down in the mix.
If you sat them on top a bit more and got them to pop it would sound instantly more appealing. I don't think you're a bad singer per se, just let down by a really muddy mix.
