Unfortunately Intervals and Periphery have spawned a mass of vapid down-tuned/seven string music from bands with no sense of creativity and no understanding of how to manipulate their influences into something new.

Either most of these bands cycle from riff to riff to riff in a derivative poppy form or they just solo/noodle for the whole song over a boring chord progression that even blues musicians would laugh at.
