I agree mostly, I doubt I could relate or take seriously lyrics about relationships or loneliness written by a female.

However there are some lyrical themes that a woman wouldn't have problems writing about, for example; loss of family or other universal subjects.

Got let go from my job, running out of money and my dog is getting old. Been dating my current gf for a year and a half. I have to save up my money now so I can't sperg on Horus Heresy anymore. Black Library is now accepting entries from writers, so I'm doing that since I've been writing 40k fanfiction since I was 14. It's deathwatch though so that sucks

My eternal struggle
>>
>>52222662
It's easier for a woman to find a relationship than a man.

I've been in emo scenes for a while and I've noticed this. There are very few single female emo artists/fans.
>>
>>52222664
Emo is a genre that capitalizes on people who can't fulfill themselves because of how shallow and socially awkward they are. It feeds off of infantile teenagers and twenty somethings in the middle class.
>>

You ever thought it might be easier to find a relationship if you didn't spend your Friday nights in on your computer, whining about how difficult your life is and how no woman could ever understand your problems? I have a hunch that that isn't going to make you too impressive to the ladies.
>>
>>52222593

Yeah it can happen - doesn't mean I would be able to relate to it or take it seriously.

It just sounds like a fucking Avril Lavigne song when a woman writes about their boyfriends. It just doesn't appeal the same way as lyrics written by other young twenty/late teen boys who've all had shitty times, shit/no relationships or a hopeless state of mind I can relate to and enjoy.

>>
>>52219539
SO WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME BAAAAAACK?
>>
>>52222748
The fact that men suffer from depression more than women =/= women never suffer from depression.
In the same way that women suffer more from eating disorders but that does not mean men never suffer from them.
>>
>>52222328
radical uninformed misjudgments of the female psyche are /r9k/'s thing, not /pol/'s
>>
>>52222772

>>
>>52222885
Also, implying it isn't the bandmembers who are shilling their shitty record itt.

It's mediocre besides the first track and it's not even their own accomplishment. They just add some twinkly instrumentals to a part of the monologue taken out of context and essentially abuse the grief of a father losing his 2-year old daughter for their own gain.

Fuck those guys, seriously.

Heartbreak is an infantile emotion anyway. Anyone who thinks it's worthy of writing music about is a mongoloid.
>>
>>52223052
Yes, you're saying that if a woman writes about having shitty times, shitty relationships or a hopeless state of mind, even if it's insightful and well written, you can't relate to it solely because she has a vagina. You can go round in circles all you want, it doesn't make what you're saying any less ridiculous.
>>
>>52222546
I think as a white middle to upper class male you have to live up to much higher expectations than other people generally. I come from a family of upper middle class people who all have degrees, good paying jobs, and have generally "made it" in life.

I didn't go to college after high school, and while I wasn't a fuck up for the most part, I still worked shit jobs and really had no direction in my life. During that time I got no respect from my family besides maybe my parents, I was seen as a fuck up and someone that they should not be associated with. I've been a UPS delivery man for 5 years now. I make 60k a year and I like the job and take a lot of pride in it. There is still an undercurrent of "he's not as good as us" when I am around family though. Just because I don't have a degree and my career is manual labor I am judged harshly by them, even though the job pays great for what I'm doing and I like the job.

There are other pressures similar to that that go on in middle class white life, things people/races/classes can't understand. Sure, we have it much better compared to most minorities, but being a white male doesn't mean life is easy by any stretch.
