Let's get emotional.
Do you prefer twinkly emo or punk emo?

Both! When shit gets really screamy is very nice too.
Does anyone have a link or download from Raintree - For a Little While?
I can only find it for a price, and its good enough that I might pull the trigger, but im pretty yid.
Jesus, that opening track is 2sad4me
Showed the gf Medic off of that album and she loved it, and I'm running out of emo in in my music folder to rec her
She will soon surpass me
Bitches love that album. Just showed it to some qt I went to college with, with the most shit taste known. Saw her post a track from it on facebook about 45 min later (Rory).
Btw its one of my favorite albums of the last few years
Is there many or any emo bands that kind of have the aggresion of bands like say, Bear vs Shark (who i think are hardcore?) but still have some of the emo influences?
I really fucking like Bear vs Shark and it would be cool to hear someone like them with some emo influences
>/sp/ used to steal our gets

You can't really argue with it though it's an objectively true statement. Emo is generally about people singing about the struggles in their life. Women have substantially easier lives and are massively placated in western society so what's their frame of reference lel
females can experience the same feelings that most male sept posters get
>Women have substantially easier lives and are massively placated in western society so what's their frame of reference lel
People will disagree with you there but when it comes to what emo songwriters predominantly write about (relationship struggles) women have it easier.
I agree mostly, I doubt I could relate or take seriously lyrics about relationships or loneliness written by a female.
However there are some lyrical themes that a woman wouldn't have problems writing about, for example; loss of family or other universal subjects.
repeating integers for the greatest extended play of all time
Got let go from my job, running out of money and my dog is getting old. Been dating my current gf for a year and a half. I have to save up my money now so I can't sperg on Horus Heresy anymore. Black Library is now accepting entries from writers, so I'm doing that since I've been writing 40k fanfiction since I was 14. It's deathwatch though so that sucks
My eternal struggle
Emo is a genre that capitalizes on people who can't fulfill themselves because of how shallow and socially awkward they are. It feeds off of infantile teenagers and twenty somethings in the middle class.
You ever thought it might be easier to find a relationship if you didn't spend your Friday nights in on your computer, whining about how difficult your life is and how no woman could ever understand your problems? I have a hunch that that isn't going to make you too impressive to the ladies.
Yeah it can happen - doesn't mean I would be able to relate to it or take it seriously.
It just sounds like a fucking Avril Lavigne song when a woman writes about their boyfriends. It just doesn't appeal the same way as lyrics written by other young twenty/late teen boys who've all had shitty times, shit/no relationships or a hopeless state of mind I can relate to and enjoy.
I said nothing about them not feeling heartbreak at all.
The fact that men suffer from depression more than women =/= women never suffer from depression.
In the same way that women suffer more from eating disorders but that does not mean men never suffer from them.
Perhaps you should try not to view women as some kind of interspecies from a far flung planet who don't experience emotions the same way men do. I repeat myself: this is most likely where you are going wrong.
So if you do believe that women can and do experience the same emotions men can and do regarding relationships, why are you suddenly unable to relate to lyrics when you find out the person writing them has a vagina?
>It just sounds like a fucking Avril Lavigne song when a woman writes about their boyfriends. It just doesn't appeal the same way as lyrics written by other young twenty/late teen boys who've all had shitty times, shit/no relationships or a hopeless state of mind I can relate to and enjoy.
Also, implying it isn't the bandmembers who are shilling their shitty record itt.
It's mediocre besides the first track and it's not even their own accomplishment. They just add some twinkly instrumentals to a part of the monologue taken out of context and essentially abuse the grief of a father losing his 2-year old daughter for their own gain.
Fuck those guys, seriously.
Yes, you're saying that if a woman writes about having shitty times, shitty relationships or a hopeless state of mind, even if it's insightful and well written, you can't relate to it solely because she has a vagina. You can go round in circles all you want, it doesn't make what you're saying any less ridiculous.
I think as a white middle to upper class male you have to live up to much higher expectations than other people generally. I come from a family of upper middle class people who all have degrees, good paying jobs, and have generally "made it" in life.
I didn't go to college after high school, and while I wasn't a fuck up for the most part, I still worked shit jobs and really had no direction in my life. During that time I got no respect from my family besides maybe my parents, I was seen as a fuck up and someone that they should not be associated with. I've been a UPS delivery man for 5 years now. I make 60k a year and I like the job and take a lot of pride in it. There is still an undercurrent of "he's not as good as us" when I am around family though. Just because I don't have a degree and my career is manual labor I am judged harshly by them, even though the job pays great for what I'm doing and I like the job.
There are other pressures similar to that that go on in middle class white life, things people/races/classes can't understand. Sure, we have it much better compared to most minorities, but being a white male doesn't mean life is easy by any stretch.
Those last two minutes broke me.
'I had three appearances with the legendary Johnny Carson, and a total of fourteen applause breaks. I would have given it all if I could just have one more day sharing a bag of French fries with my daughter'
You see, your racist bullshit aside, i can totally relate with your situation because i find myself on it too.
Google about narcissistic personality disorder, i think you might have it.
really sums up the year in music
I like both. I discovered American Football shortly after getting my heart ripped out. It helped me cope and I got over it eventually. For that reason it's pretty near and dear to me. After that I really looked into the whole emo thing and I love it now.
