>BH confirmed for ruining music
>1800 dinosaur confirmed worst label in living memory
from twitter. heads up. get your wallets ready people.
"Gizmo here, next BH out Jan 2015.
BH 0.6 - Wiley - TBA
2014 worst year for vinyl jewery in history.
2014 worst year for re-hashing the same old shit and claiming it as original in history.
BH so undeground mane, support from several well known record shops, limited releases from well known producers... yeah mane so undeground mane. u feel me?
as i sit in my record shop wearing my beanie and thick rimmed shades. i know that i am undeground as fuck.
JUST A HEADS UP INCASE U THINK U CAN FLIP THE LATEST JAMES BLAKE.
from the other thread.
200 press isn't limited btw
only the shitty spoken word 7" is limited.
200press / 200 pressure will be repressed.
everyone an underground poser.
most of these fuckers be living in good areas of both NY and LONDON.
and have rich parents or some shit.. then tryna 'keep it reel' with there shitty overpriced limited vinyl releases
fuck em all.
when was i caring? thats just what it look like.
not my fault you post on /fa/ and probably in that thread.
>If you owned something that you wanted to sell
That's the point, why buy it if you're just going to sell it.
>Even if the discogs sharks didn't exist, the limited supply and large demand would result in prices gradually rising in the 2nd hand market. Sharks simply speed up the process.
Exactly. It should take years for a record to reach its equilibrium market price as a record slowly becomes appreciated as a classic, but instead the process becomes instantaneous as sharks gamble on what they think will be popular based on the artist/ label/ hype rather than the quality of the music itself.
That's why you get shity Swamp releases sharked on, but after a year nobody is playing them anymore.
You're a reptile, and that pun doesn't work if you pronounce berceuse properly.
I FUCK BITCHES AND SELL LIMITED VINYL RECORDS AND SELL THEM AND PRETEND LIKE I CAN'T SELL 1000 COPIES OVER A FAIR SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME CONSIDRING ITS 2014. YA KNOW HOMIEZ IM SO UNDEGROUND IM STRUGGLING OUT HERE WITH MY 20 THOUSAND POUNDS OF EQUIPMENT AND LEACHING OF MY PARENTS MONEYS YA KNOW CAUSE I CAN ONLY GET AJOB AT THE RECORD SHOP BECAUSE FUCK WORKING A REEL JOB OR PRODUCING SOME ORIGINAL MUSIC. NAH MANE WE DO THIS FOR THE CLUB. FOR HE HEADS, IN-STORE ONLY.... OH WHATS THAT BITCH? U DONT LIVE NEAR A STORE? WELL THATS 2 BAD HOMIE, CAUSE U AINT A HEAD. SO JUST PIPE DOWN ON DISCOGS. U DISCOGS KIDDOS AINT GOT SHIT ON US. WE CULTURE. WE UNDERGROUND. WE THE REALEST MOTHERFUCKERS DOING IT.
Calm yer tits, don't be salty just because you didn't get a copy of Woman/Midnight.
If labels press limited copies it's often because it's part of their aesthetic or philosophy or for practical reasons.
Obviously though BH 0.5 was just Loefah being a cunt, trying to stay relevant.
some of 2014's nicest
>If labels press limited copies it's often because it's part of their aesthetic or philosophy or for practical reasons.
not everyone wants a copy of woman/midnight mate, it's definitely good tunes but the only reason it's being talked about at the moment is because of the limited BH thing
if it got a normal pressing today maybe 1 or 2 people would have mentioned it
it's not that good mate... i don't think that guy's salty because he didn't get a copy. he's likely salty at the current state of affairs of needlessly limited presses
shit taste imho
BH is label of the year and not a single post for them there. also its always a good sign of a really good record when after a week or two of release its on discogs for double the retail price or more.
none of those are even hard to accquire despite being released for months... piss poor effort in my books. vinyl is a sacred medium people. wake up. its almost 2015.
Annoying since I only play vinyl.
Fair enough, I think even if it wasn't limited though it would be talked about a lot as it's a very anticipated dubplate.
I don't think it's good myself either, and I hate that it's gonna attract more cunts to the vinyl resale business, but you can't say it's _always_ needless to do limited presses; sometime's there are fair reasons behind it.
Not that I'd agree with those reasons, if I ran a label I'd repress as often and as long as there was demand.
help me /bleep/
what is that album with a cover somewhat like pic related, p sure its bleep.
its not hyperdub
What, all of these tracks bar one are among the most b8 tracks possible in /bleep/.
There's nothing wrong with that, but you would've heard nearly all of them just by lurking here for the last however-old-/bleep/-is-now.
didn't say i hadn't heard them already or anything though... i'm not sure what your problem is. i just said it's a gr8 collection of tunes, and the best in a while. didn't say anything else m8, stop inferring lol
definitely seemed to be the case a while ago (hence the best post in time bit)... more recent times seem to be more geared towards hating that kind of stuff and hyping grime or someshit
all the original old boys seemed to have given up and left
I'm new to these threads, so idk if this is a stupid thing to ask.
What do you guys think of Lorn?
This is one of my favourite albums ever, do you know any similar stuff?
I already checked out a lot of the artists with Ninja Tune.
Yeah he was decent
>more recent times seem to be more geared towards hating that kind of stuff and hyping grime or someshit
The bong contingent here has gone a bit nuts in the last few months, I think to try and keep away yanks and newfriends, or maybe winter just really gets to them.
i'm bong though and most of the old crew chatting about traumprinz or whatever earlier in the year were bong
just a new wave of teenagers as of late summer who are into grime... or it's a defence mechanism against s/t and the like, i dunno
hold tight all the uk man though
>is there an essential bleep chart or something to help me get started, really dont feel like lurking
Nope, there's no such thing as "essentials" in /bleep/.
In fact, you could do well to listen to these >>52015150 and click random youtube recommendations.
yo anyone into this?
dope as hell comp, never seen it mentioned besides the week it came out
listen to this: http://www.mixesdb.com/w/2014-10-18_-_Ben_UFO_@_Fabric_15th_Birthday_Weekend,_fabric,_London
tracklist almost complete aswell, check the labels / artists of the tunes in that mix you like and you're off
>RDJ pic on OP
no thanks I'll wait for the next bleeps thread
Vakula is great. His production is so quirky and upbeat without getting cheesy. And I love how his mixing/mastering reminds me of some darker bleeps production while being so upbeat at the same time
>Liking grime & jungle
britbongs are worse than 'murricans when it comes to bleeps threads
turn the beat around (the secret history of disco) for protobleep
>talking to gril
>studies music, favorite genre idm
>ask does she like aphex twin
>doesnt know who he is
Just heard this on soundcloud, might be one of my favourites tracks of the year. Sounds like it could be released on livity sound or something.
