It's over priced for what it is, and in a year or two you'll be able to cope a second hand one because the rich people that bought them on release will saturate the market when they decide they're bored with them.

The same thing is happening now with the Minibrutes and Bass Station IIs, I got my Minibrute for $275 and have seen Bass Stations as low as $200.

The Minibrute has a switch that changes the envelope time, I'd imagine they'd put that in a hypothetical polyphonic synth.

so my dad is pretty into his 80's synth music, and since christmas is coming i thought i might get him a synth.
digital synth software was just too much hassle for him and took him away from the keyboard, which is i think an improtant part of it for him.
do you guys have any suggestions on a relatively cheap synth, thats not too crazy complicated to use but still allows him the control over tone that he'd like?
any things to look for or avoid would also be much appreciated

roland is fine and the GAIA is useful, despite being a noisy af synth. it has so many fucking voices that you have to be dumb to not see some fun in it. it can be bent to do interesting things
