MAn, the second half of Ultraviolence is such dogshit. It would have been an EPOTY material if it just stopped at track 6, but it does downhill from there. Some of the bonus tracks are good though.

It wasn't such a great year. It wasn't a terrible one either, but most of the big hyped releases were disappointing. Felt like a big comedown from 2013. And I hate bubblegum bass.

Sometimes I like what p4k likes. Ruins was pretty great, I can't come up with 10 albums I've enjoyed a lot but that would definitely be up there.

I just don't like the general style > substance vibe that the place has, and the kind of soulless, lowest-common-denominator music it hypes.

I just get annoyed at the general concept of "P4K music" since, while I'm sure that there are people that take their opinions from Pitchfork, I don't think it's as common as people think. And quite a few of my favorite albums of this year were highly rated on Pitchfork but I give literally no shits about Pitchfork and it's annoying to either get called a Pitchfork drone or to see someone called Pitchfork drone just because they say they liked an album that Pitchfork happened to rate highly.
