Infinity freq is pretty solid. I don't recommend 0PN to people looking for vapor too much because he's kinda got his own thing going on. Most of the vapor being made now is either like eccojams but with more refined production techniques or full on ambient music with vaporwave style synths a la dreamcatalogue. Replica really isn't like anything else in the genre and it's a little tougher to appreciate.

I sometimes import a track into it and then use its eq. It's a surprisingly powerful program in some aspects, but it doesn't hold up as a DAW because there's not really a way to generate sounds and the beat finder is kinda shitty. Any other DAW is fine really, Fruity loops is awful at sample manipulation so I'd avoid that one.

It's okay to share your own music in moderation when you make it known that it's you and only share it when it's relevant. Posting a link to your awful music every time someone asks for a rec and pretending you're just "a fan", and posting it in every vaguely related subreddit is spamming. Like, if I really was who you say I am, why wouldn't I just stop posting entirely and start a new project? It's not like I have a huge fanbase as Poseidon in Chains that I need to rebuild.

My main project has over 10000 listeners on last.fm (no it isn't vaporwave before you try and even bother to guess who), Poseidon in Chains has 60. I think that shows how unimportant PiC is to me. This idea of "damage control" is actually really funny to me.
