post about emo
post about emo feels
circlejerk and have fun with emos in this thread
(fuck you moot for making me wait 10 minutes to remake a thread i fucked up)
What do you guys think of Taxes? Found them on bandcamp the other day andreally liked them. A mix of pop punk, emo and electronics.
Fuck that album is so good.
>What is Shit Twins
fucking facebook sucks with letting people know stuff
i wish i could have gotten the single sided one with the cover printed on the other side
i think my friend got that one
haha looking at facebook, the last update was 2 months ago and the label hasnt said anything either
the site has an "email when available" button
I wrote Haikus
I Hate Myself
not even close the real list would be
good shit OP
I'm still a bigger fan of Cap'N'Jazz however
Snowing is pretty good emo too
Would /mu/ consider Modern Baseball emo or straight pop punk?
Anyone else think Algernon Cadwallader's singer looks like Rick from Walking Dead?
Anyone else fucking love pic related? It's definitely the most unique emo album I've ever heard
>Not Que Suerte! or The Sands Have Turned Purple
I've been listening to this and Masked Dancers nonstop recently. It's uniqueness is a big part of the charm imo.
Would recommend something else, but nothing really sounds like it. I've also really been enjoying the type of sounds Black Santa has too, Sorry if This is Weird is one of the best Emo releases this year
the last 15 minutes of Shmap'N'Shmaz is fucking glorious
can we agree on that at least?
Another thing about Cap'N'Jazz
Analphabetapolothology is great, but a lot of the tracks on sides C and D are hit or miss, mostly miss
Like, the cover of Take on Me is great the first time you hear it,but then it just becomes cringe worthy
Moss Icon - Lyburnum (V0)
downloaded it during freeleech but havent listened to it yet
How can one person be so wrong
>not having 100+ scrobbles of Winter Wonderland
Can we just agree that the entirety of Shmap'N'Shmaz is quintessential emo and influenced most of the bands working in the genre to come after it.
never thought Combatwoundedveteran as an emo band.
this is the best chart, most of the screamo is good and Kidcrash doesnt belong in midwest but whatever
>Genuine criticism about the shitty lyrics in emo
Sorry that your genre is shit
Look into the first 4 chapters of the Emo Diaries (comps put out by deep elm). Cross My Heart are standouts and Planes Mistaken For Stars is good if your after something in the same vein but harder.
takes 30 minutes to listen to one of their fucking albums. Odds are if it's something you'll like you'll like it on the first spin. Otherwise don't bother, there's 10,000 bandcamp emo rev bands out there that you might like better
That niggeridck taste good anon?
Also, I read something about ska? Without it we dont get Foxing. Check and mate h8r
Not a single post about the objectively greatest emo album?
You guys blow ass
You guys think emo was the defining musical genre of the 00s?
>I wouldn't consider most, if any, of those to be emo.
Lyrically I think they all fit the bill and have been considered as such by pop culture since their rise and fall from prominence; "emo pop" used to be a thing, y'know. Most of the popular nu-metal bands during the 00s are still kickin'. Any of the mainstream emo bands that hadn't broken up by the 10s had long since moved onto a different sound. The same could be said for nu-metal, but I don't think there's much of a revival sentiment amongst its crowd as there is with emo. I agree with the braggadocio shit however.
This album is EVERYTHING to me. So many good memories listening to it haning out with my friends, and I'm just a regular Brazilian guy.
Rites of Spring hits me harder, but yeah, Moss Icon is awesome
Thoughts on Tiny Moving Parts?
I saw them live opening up for Dads, and they were fucking incredible. Reminds me a bit of Algernon Cadawallader.
