So we were playing this outdoor backyard SXSW type thing where all the "cool" kids were at. It was like us, Part Time, Bleached, some other bands. We got there early and watched some bands and drank beers. I was standing there and I guess I sharted really fucking hard. I checked it out in the port-a-potty and there was just mud all up in my undies and running down my pant leg. Thanks man. My question is probably a vague one. I just paranoid about fucking up relationships with bands. I remember playing an awesome group show once and I told the guy who set it up(his band played and he pocketed all the proceeds) that we should do more. The guy got pissy and accused me of just wanting to do more group shows so my band could play. It wasnt even like that. I just liked the idea of having a group "scene" and everyone playing together. I mean I provided some equipment too so its not like I was scrounging. The fucker took all the profits as well. We ended up falling out over that. His band is over too.
Random story but yeah I just wanted to see if you had any tips for how to go about setting up group gigs.
I guess I just have to get good and show them my "credentials" in terms of music and gig experience I guess.

As far as I know they've never even met each other, the guys from Holograms are apparently just pissed because both them and Iceage started attracting international attention at the same time, only Iceage ended up being a lot more successful.
And how much influence does Captured Tracks let their artists have in terms of how the artists present themselves(as far as image, artwork, videos etc. goes)? Because the video for Holograms' Fever is a huge contrast with the band's actual music, what with them being a Swedish band playing post-punk and the video taking from that whole Wavves/Best Coast "US beach slacker" aesthetic.
