Sorta-electronic, but it's my AOTY regardless
Why not? It reminds me of Pink Moon, and that's a great cover.
A couple that I'd put up there:
Pic related for EP of the year
Andy Stott gets my AOTYSF for the 3rd time
It's either this, Calibre - Shelflife 3 or Nu:Tone - Future History.
clap! clap! - tayi bebba
for fans of romare
if we add trip hop its:
hundred waters - the moon rang like a bell
Yeah, sometimes I just want to listen to something and can't be bothered downloading it
Vaetxh - Clockwork Atom
Aphex Twin - Syro
Hyperdub - Next Life
Objekt - Flatland
Ueno Masaaki - Vortices
James Hoff - Blaster
Autechre - SYptixed
Objekt - Gantzfield
I'm probably forgetting a few, recs are appreciated
How does this compare to other Caribou releases for you? I didn't like it and couldn't stand to listen to what i feel is a watered down caribou but I'm curious as to your opinions on this
not him, but i agree. it's like a bunch of unfinished thoughts.
just listenend to "milk of human kindness" yesterday and that album is so well structered and i wish he would go back to the style he had before.
Its good (streaming it now) but its only been out for one day, you literally haven't had enough time to let it sink in to make that sort of appraisal.
That Eomac album was obscenely good, gets my vote
Royksopp - The Inevitable End
I feel like Clark is kinda shallow. I like that album but it's not something i'm going to remember in a couple years.
Syro, Ghettoville, Angels & Devils, It's Album Time, and especially Flatland were all much better
Idk why but I had extremely little 2014 stuff. Compared to 2013, pretty much everything was meh.
Also, Lone - Reality Testing would be my aoty, with maybe syro and you're dead!.
yeah saw him last year just when he had released airglow fires and it was great, he puts on a really good show, just feel like everything about the new album was watered down compared to older stuff
