the battle stopped. They all looked at him. He was shining whit hate. why did he run over there. thier general didnt really look at him. that was a mistake. he jumped whit more power than nybody ever had before. Thier general was surprised when the attack hit him. He almost fell forward. The impackt was so massive that even soldiers 1 kilomiter away could feel it. Something had change that man. Something had turned on he's rage. I didnt knew what But i knew we won the war that day.
Just a little something i came up whit while listening to this techno Pls tell me if i shuold try and go whit it or if i should just leave it.
New Icicle and new Mefjus LPs out now. Hopefully both are good, I've heard the Mefjus album is meant to be amazing.
But for now, roads are calling.
Feels good man. Have some more.
Superior jungle coming through
Never been all that into Mefjus tbh, think his production is a bit too clinical and lacks a groove and is lacking a vibe most of the time, Icicle's album on the other hand, looking forward to that, should have a few good tunes on there
Thought Mefjus was another week off
The previews have been good though Im hype
There's not going to be a new genre, and that's the way I like it.
I don't think there needs to be a boxed, canonisable scene or genre in existence for a year to be good. In fact it's the opposite; the mishmash of styles and crosspolination of ideas and sounds makes for much for interesting musical development - that's the opposite of stagnation.
I prefer 95.
GOAT Jungle track of all ti,e os from 94 though.
If you mean Black Dragons then yes, if you mean something else then I'm not sure.
Because it sounds cool.
I like Mefjus because he sounds a little like prime Phace/Noisia but not quite as good. I hope new Icicle is good, I doubt it'll top his debut because that shit was amazing.
Dreadnaught / Arrows is still huge.
Because instrumental Grime is back in fashion now.
Label of the year is clearly Metalheadz though. It's almost a given but once the new Om Unit album is out it will be confirmed.
I almost expect any Grime mixtape I listen to now to have more Trap on it than Grime. At least the instrumental releases by guys who know what they are doing are still properly Grime sounding.
yeah, it's a shame. especially as ur country is so big. in england (which is smaller than louisiana) like every major city has got like at least 5 things worth going to every week. and in london it's more like 10
>Despite not having released any proper D&B in succesion for a while.
lol what they released a 8 track Drum and Bass EP a few months ago
Noisia are GOAT Drum and Bass m8.
Favourite Grime track of the year.
Yeah I know, but what I meant is around 05-07 they only released D&B. Once Division became big they've released way more House/EDM than they ever used to and D&B has taken a back seat for them. That EP was good though.
It's true for vocal mixtapes, instrumental full lengths are still on point.
fine year, but sometimes it's a bit 'look how fast I can program these drums'
Not bad, but bit too generic production. Sounds too similar to every other song you'd find at a rave. Maybe I should use a different example of a song.
Secret Treehouse ; has an ambient-esque to it at the beginning then turns into some pretty cool edm at 2:47. Thank you for the suggestion though
>grime back in the picture for me
On A Level was a one off, the rest of the album was shit Trap beats. MCing was alright but the production totally fucked it up.
New Ghetts is on Funkysouls, has the same problem.
GOAT tier instrumental.
I have also used that phrase to a senior once during a night shift to describe an arrest call. He didn't get it though.
Ok /mu/, best grime sets of all time? I want something to listen to on the way to work tomorrow. Looking for something with lots of classic tunes (creeper, ghetto kyote, i luv u, eskimo) and top notch mc spitting
Can't go wrong with Mac 10.
Why would you spend all this money on this hardware when I could -literally- create all these sounds using FL Studio or Ableton, is the quality better or what's the deal?
I mean if I were rich I'd think about it, but this is a pure waste of money the way I see it, or am I missing something crucial and I'm making myself look really fucking stupid right now?
love mak 10. only been to see him once tho. it's such a shame he isn't booked more
probably in my top 5 instrumentals ever. the royal-t remix is sick in raves as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76cmQEitn64
let's get one thing straight. wiley invented grime in 2003 and skream invented dubstep in 2005.
musical mob was not grime. arguabl -protogrime.
it's to grime what velvet underground were to punk.
in fine style was also protodubstep. but I will concede that dark twostep was very different to out and out dubstep
Wiley 'invented' Grime in 2002 with Eskimo. But then again if the date of this set is accurate then who knows who released the first Grime dubplate properly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhUK1Xdzbjk
Eskimo or Pulse X were definitely the earliest and widespread example though.
In Fine Style was UKG. The only thing it had in common with Dubstep that would come out after it was that it sounded dark but so did some other UKG at that time.
Skream did not invent Dubstep.
Roll up a spliff, yeh dey call me Congo Natty
Original Nuttah, call me UK Apachi
Now my hoe mad cos I came on her Versace
Nutting gets me hype more that stabbing fucking Pakis
Yer... Twice as Nice, nigga, I'm a garage raver
See a girl with a veil, you know she got that camel flavor
