My pedal board consists of a Korg Pitchblack Chromatic Guitar pedal tuner, Way Huge Swollen Pickle Fuzz, Fulltione OCD Overdrive, ElectroHarmonix Holy Grail Reverb, and a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone I play through a Line 6 Flextone 100 watt amp on the Jazz Clean Amp setting and through the delay/compressor setting. I also use the line 6 floor board with wah a volume pedals and defult delay, reverb, and tremolo switches. I either play on a a Gibson Les Paul Studio or an Ibanez ARX320.

I'm in the market for either a ZVex Ringtone TT Ring Modulation Pedal, Earthquaker The Depths phaser, Or a Ditto Looper. Solid Gold FX Stutter Lite or Apollo phaser. I like unique shit.

i get that. i would rather make due with my amp and really work on my pedal game first.. If shit guitarists such as Mac Demarco and King Krule can get by with crap gear, I'm sure I can too. It's not like I'm play a First Act Strat on a Vox All In One preset amp, with all Boss and Digittech pedals. Once I get some more in the next decade and can commit toward a Mesa or Fender amp, I will. But as for now, I'll build up my pedal game first.

Much of Iceage's heavy sound comes from chaotic production style, bass and drums.

Anyway here's my guess for the guitar tone:
Theay are playing way too fucking loud with tube amp and boosting it even more with a clean boost or something like that. Maybe you should get a transparent overdrive (Rockett pedals, Lovepedal etc. you can't go wrong with those) and oldschool fuzz (colorsound, fuzzface etc.) and tweak around and you'll get to the ballpark quite easily.

-Digitech Jamman (looping pedal)

-Dunlop Crybaby (barely works and fuzzes like a monkey)

That RE-20 is a legendary pedal. I know that some people ever prefer it to the tape version. Another trick for loops is to pick up a cheap tascam 4 track and make a cassette tape loop.

Anybody here use a looper? I'm looking for one with midi sync and multi tracking. I'm not sold on the EHX 45000, but it does have what I want.

Fender 70's classic player strat > some weird brandless wah pedal my dad bought somewhere in the 80's > micro Qtron (great pedal, envelope filter that doubles as a fuzz if you set the drive to 9 o clock) > mxr prime distortion (if i'm gonna replace one pedal it's this one because it sounds a bit too hair metal for my taste but if you set the tone to 9~10 it's brety gud) > mxr micro amp + > dunlop volume pedal > boss super chorus CH-1 > tc flashback stompbox > fender blues deluxe reissue (best. buy. ever)

I'm thinking about getting a polytune, a MXR blue box and a compressor/noise gate, any recommendations?
